DJ Joshua has published the track-lists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station and DJ Agency for the Asian region and internationally.
DJ Joshua real name Joshua Mar is a Portuguese electronic music gatherer who adores his massive library of music and this is a contributing factor in his demeanour as a DJ. Spending his teenage years growing up in his home city Evora his biggest pass time was gathering electronic music, this became an obsession and he delved into electronic music from House to Drum and Bass to Chill-out with Techno becoming his favourite choice.
As with most teenagers who grew up in the nineties, he bought some turntables and started to learn to DJ, and became a vinyl enthusiast. He began pouring out his love of electronic music on Portuguese radio stations with most genres in his collection and performing at raves he set up with friends and partygoers.
As his musical obsession grew the rave scene in Portugal was starting to blossom. He saw that ravers in his community needed to have a media presence for the underground electronic genres on local airwaves.
His undeniable passion for electronic music became a burden to him, and not long after the birth of his first child, he took a break to break into fatherhood. As his firstborn got older he felt a need to get back to his roots and hobby and start a new radio show and 'Floating Beats' was born.
His 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' podcast is transmitted on a fair selection of online platforms and stations internationally, and Joshua has this to say about his show 'Music is an art form. Is the fusion of elements that can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body, enjoy it.'
In his weekly show, Joshua will present an array of House Music and Techno genres including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit House, Soulful House, Progressive House, Vocal House, Melodic Techno, and Techno.
