Bicycle Corporation has announced guest DJ Marcy for their upcoming Foundations show. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station serving listeners across the region and internationally.

Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo of DJ and producer Marco Mei and the classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Marco began his musical path in the early nineties, working as both a DJ and producer while becoming deeply involved in Italy’s emerging underground scene.

He soon began organising his own events as part of the Urban People collective, which grew into a nationwide presence and established him as one of the key figures in the Italian club movement. This success led to a residency at Pacha Sharm el Sheikh, opening the door to international bookings and setting Marco on a global journey through the world’s dancefloors.

Stefano, born and raised in Torino, displayed a strong musical instinct from childhood. He dedicated himself to classical piano, percussion and drumming, developing both technical discipline and a deep curiosity for rhythm. He balanced an early love for Chopin with an interest in West African Djembe, shaping a foundation that later guided his transition into electronic music.

With time, the allure of the DJ booth and the energy of club culture became impossible to ignore. The electronic sound that was difficult to find on Italian radio in the nineties felt like the beginning of a new chapter, and Bicycle Corporation was eventually formed from this shared creative spark between Marco and Stefano.

Despite their continued success today, the pair have never lost sight of their roots. In recent years, they revisited and remastered several of their earlier works, releasing them through a dedicated Bandcamp page as a nod to the foundations that shaped their identity.

Guest DJ Marcy joins them on this edition of Foundations, bringing her own interpretation of deep and melodic house textures to the show. Known for blending warmth, groove and expressive rhythms, she complements the duo’s musical ethos and adds a fresh voice to this week’s broadcast.

This week’s guest DJ is Marcy, a well-respected DJ from Okinawa, Japan, who has been performing for more than 25 years. Most weekends, you will find him pursuing his true passion at local hotspots and venues, sharing his craft behind the decks.

His journey began as a teenager when he received his first set of turntables and began experimenting in his bedroom. Motivated to grow creatively and technically, he later moved to New York to gain experience and immerse himself in a wider musical landscape.

After returning to Japan, his career took shape in Tokyo, where he established himself within the capital’s vibrant nightlife. This period also led him across Asia, performing at notable venues throughout the region and steadily broadening his audience.

As his path unfolded, Marcy spent time in Ibiza, experiencing the island’s hedonistic atmosphere firsthand. The influence of those years, combined with a return to his home city of Okinawa, helped shape the sound he presents today. Over the course of his career, he has shared booths with artists including Gerald Mitchell, Frank Muller, Hiroshi Watanabe, also known as Kaito, Paul Murphy and Phil Mison, among others.

Marcy’s style is diverse, blending House, Nu Disco, Minimal and Techno with a fluid and intuitive approach that resonates strongly on the dance floor. He currently holds a residency at bar b.p.m. in Okinawa, where he continues to refine and express his musical identity.

He is now eager to explore performances in new cities and venues. For his guest appearance on the show, he delivers a smooth and engaging blend of Deep House, Nu Disco, Indie Dance and Disco Dub, showcasing the warm, colourful and rhythmic signature that defines his sound.

The opening stages of this guest mix introduce a warm and colourful palette as Track ID1, Coffee and Cocaine and Emancipacao set the tone with deep grooves, nu disco bounce and indie dance flair. The relaxed confidence of Cosy and the classic house character of Work deepen the flow, while the remix of The Chase adds rhythmic movement rooted in the deeper side of the dance floor.

Momentum builds through the soulful lift of Stay Inside and the timeless charm of Sunshower, both bringing a smooth, melodic brightness. The atmosphere widens further with Woman in the Wild and Masquerade in Desert, where deep house warmth meets subtle tribal shades. Tracks such as Altum, City Lights and Doxtoutheo reinforce this melodic direction, supporting the set’s evolving emotional arc.

A more reflective mid-section arrives with Never You Mind, Microcosm and Nostalgie, each offering elegant melodic layering and rich textures that showcase Marcy’s refined deep house sensibility. The energy remains steady as Let It Go, Talk in Space and Through the Clouds glide into the mix with gentle propulsion, leading naturally into the indie-coloured tones of Healing and the hypnotic pulse of Some Lights.

The final stretch introduces the tribal swing of Tanz Der Körperlinge, followed by the emotive depth of Connection and Reminiscence. The mood shifts again with the Italo shimmer of Since You Went Away, before returning to a darker indie groove with Back to the Future and Mil Heridas. This closing sequence brings the session to an expressive end, blending deep house warmth with nu disco charm, indie dance character and the unmistakable club spirit that defines the Foundations series.
