Anonymous Z has announced the playlist for his next show with guest Eskerod. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency for Japan, India, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea and the wider region, with a global following.
Anonymous Z is well known in Saigon for founding the Mad Circus epic parties. A true organiser of mayhem, he previously founded Glassroom, the first underground DJ community in Bahrain. Leading a tight-knit group of misfits from different backgrounds, he organised parties and after-parties of every kind, some official and others more discreet, all of which became legendary in local nightlife.
His motto during that era captured the spirit of the scene perfectly: “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds.”
After relocating to Vietnam, he joined the Banana Hustle crew and contributed to their energetic tropical signature. Originally a devoted Techno head, he broadened his musical palette through years of digging, embracing Afro House, Disco, Funk and global rhythms while maintaining a clear affinity for distinctive Techno and the rising wave of Indie Dance.
His refined ear and strong reputation as a selecta opened the doors to respected underground venues, including Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and the well-known Vitamin D after-parties. His sets are often improvised, driven by crowd energy and shaped through a variety of styles with tense grooves, emotive basslines and long-form melodic storytelling.
The pandemic forced him back to France, yet he has remained closely connected to the Asian scene. This continued commitment led him to join the resident team of Scientific Sound Asia and later the Lab Sessions Podcast family.
Anonymous Z first crossed paths with Eskerod on the dancefloors of Saigon years ago when the city’s underground movement was only beginning to flourish. Both share an attraction to wide-ranging genres, but it is Minimal Techno that reunites them on this forthcoming Not So Anonymous episode.

Guest DJ (second hour) Eskerod.
Eskerod is a Danish national hailing from Aarhus, the country’s second-largest city. He is a DJ, a minimalist at heart, and a social pure-player who gravitates toward thoughtful, introspective storytelling in his sets.
His journey began at the age of sixteen at his local radio station, where he quickly progressed from radio DJ to technician, editor and live broadcast operator before eventually finding his place behind the decks in clubs. For Eskerod, performing is an act of narrative shaping.
He sees each set as a journey, a chance to guide listeners from one emotional space to another with intention and sensitivity. His selections are grounded in feel, building tension, releasing energy and creating subtle shifts that draw the audience deeper into his world.
His minimal approach allows him to focus on atmosphere, rhythm and timing, crafting music that unfolds with purpose and lands at the right moment. This mindset defines his style today: immersive, detailed and built on the idea that a DJ should not just play records, but create an experience that resonates long after the final track fades.
Anonymous Z’s Not So Anonymous episode 51 uncoils with Mrdie and Le Nardo’s desatanudos, its percussive knot untied by Yo Montero’s melodic remix on Krad Records, evoking Spanish tech fusion from the mid-2010s underground, before Lewi Boome’s your soul breathes atmospheric soul on Shubzin. Steven Campodonico’s grey goom dubs introspectively in unreleased haze, Toxtor’s stumble drives groovily through Kemmi Kamachi’s Japanese remix on Cue Play, and Swan Decamme’s swirl layers melodic depths on Funk’n Deep Records.
Yo Montero and Ian Cris’s no hablo muy bien hooks funky vocals on IRM Records, Minalis Satras Vs Pascal’s move energises minimal loops on Trapez Ltd, Kieran Ishimaru’s double o seven grooves spy-like on Miaw, Minalis Safras’s system hypnotises systemic rhythms on Soundcloud, all awaiting release. Tractile’s ardorant burns raw in Marc Houle’s 2006 Minus remix, the Canadian minimalist’s Detroit intensity from Richie Hawtin’s imprint still searing, and Jack and Sam Brickel’s resurgence uplifts melodically on Animalia.
Eskerod’s second hour ignites Giuseppe Falivene’s ninfa with mythic drive on Loveless Records, Dycide’s umbriel pounds cosmic kicks on Solid Shape, Alex Bau’s lad grinds industrial rawness on Konekt Croatia from his 1990s Italian legacy, and Davinson’s illusion hypnotises illusory builds on Unrilis. Estiva’s trip surges progressive trance uplift on Armada Music Albums, Davinson’s stranger melodies strange on Nanogramme’s 2022 French canvas, Dubesque’s isch bin jetzt rhythms German-tight on EI8HT Records’ 2020 Berlin pulse.
Carara’s astronaut program launches spacey drives on Achromatiq, Coyu’s unite anthems vocally with Gabriella Vergilov’s call on Suara, Gregor Tresher and Petar Dundov’s palladium darkens progressive tension on SCI+TEC from their 2010s German-Bulgarian synergy, Rene Wise’s prevalent intensifies UK rawness on SK Eleven, and Flug’s space buildings pounds architectural might on Mord, all in promo orbit. M€rcy’s black basslines deep through Skudge’s Souvenir Music 2018 remix, Swedish low-end from the breaks era, closing nocturnally.
Anonymous Z and Eskerod’s Not So Anonymous episode 51 masterfully bridges tech house’s groovy promise with techno’s raw industrial core, a profound underground fusion of promos and classics that pulses with hypnotic drive and melodic revelation.
