Andrew Welman has announced the tracklist for Groove Theory 3 on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an underground Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Andrew Welman is a DJ, producer and electronic music enthusiast from Montreal, Canada. Alongside his performances, he continues to develop his sound in the studio, focusing on original productions that reflect his evolving musical direction.
After spending several years focused on another career path, he recently returned to DJing and production with renewed intent. This shift marks a reconnection with his long-standing passion for electronic music and a commitment to sharing his work with a wider audience.
His influences include artists such as Eats Everything, Carl Cox and Honey Dijon, shaping a style that blends groove with dancefloor functionality. Through multiple radio residencies and independent projects, he continues to build his presence within the underground scene while developing his own shows and platforms.
His approach centres on mood and rhythm, favouring deep and hypnotic grooves that develop gradually. Rather than relying on immediate peaks, his sets are designed to draw listeners in through subtle progression and consistent flow, creating a natural and engaging listening experience.
He performs regularly at underground events across Canada, where his selections are known for their ability to move crowds while maintaining musical depth. His core styles include Deep House, Soulful House, Funky House and Tech House, delivered with a focus on groove, balance and continuity.
Episode 3 of Groove Theory by Andrew Welman opens with Shurko Love’s The Moment, introducing a Peak Time Techno edge before KinAhau and RUZE shift into a deeper Minimal and Deep Tech groove with Turned Turk and Game. Tim Hengelhardt adds a Tech House element with Thinking of You, maintaining a steady early flow.
A stylistic shift follows as Middlewood Sessions introduce Fall Back, bringing a more electro-influenced feel, while Butch and C. Vogt explore Broken Beat and Future Jazz textures with The Infamous. Osunlade’s Envision in the Âme remix returns the set to a Deep House direction.
Momentum builds through Vince Watson’s Elektrik in the MadBen remix, reinforcing the Peak Time Techno energy. Xpansul and DJ Steaw maintain the groove with Tech House and Minimal Deep Tech influences, while Âme’s Ensor adds a refined House touch.
The middle section continues with Justin Jay’s Static and Copy Paste Soul’s Voyager, balancing Deep House with driving Techno elements. Mason Rubistein introduces a darker, Raw and Hypnotic Techno moment with Greater Than Ourselves, adding contrast.
The later stages bring further variation as Laurent Garnier’s Doctor C’est Chouette introduces melodic elements, while Jarradcleoffé returns to a groove-led House structure. Riva Starr and Hyperloop push back into Peak Time Techno with Resilience, maintaining energy toward the close.
The final stretch blends House and UK-influenced sounds with Foamo’s Without You and Murder He Wrote’s That Love, which incorporates UK Garage and Broken Beat elements. Across the full session, Andrew Welman delivers a diverse mix of Techno and House styles, combining peak-time energy with deeper and more experimental influences.
