After Hours is a weekly show on Scientific Sound Asia, an underground electronic music radio station, DJ agency, music news outlet and promoter serving the Asian region and beyond. Each week the show works through a range of progressive house, techno and related subgenres, with a focus on underground artists and producers from across the globe.
PatriZe is a DJ, producer and label head from Belgium who first got behind the decks at a young age, initially drawn to trance and techno before finding his footing in progressive house. That shift towards the melodic and layered end of the spectrum has defined his output ever since.
A significant early step came in 2010 when he began working alongside Pole Folder, an artist associated with Bedrock Records and Reworck. Shortly after he won the Night Museum DJ competition in France, earning an opening slot for progressive house artist Guy J.
His sets are built around smooth transitions, considered track selection and melodic layering with a subtle tech undercurrent. Now based in Thailand, he performs regularly at venues in Pattaya including Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace, where he has built a consistent following.
In April 2015 he co-founded AH Digital with fellow Belgian DJ Hypnotised, a label focused on progressive house that has grown to work with artists across the genre. The label's debut EP People from the Otherworld reached number four on the Beatport Progressive House chart and broke into the top twenty in both techno and tech house.
PatriZe hosts After Hours and the AH digital essentials series, and appears regularly as a guest on international radio shows covering progressive house. His collaborative work extends to tracks such as the Hypnotised and PatriZe Dawn Remix of Galactic Trip, and his 2023 DJ mix AH Digital Essentials 004 illustrates his ability to move between house and techno without losing the thread.

Guest DJ Matías Ocaño.
Taking the second hour is Matías Ocaño, a DJ and producer from Mar del Plata, Argentina, born in 1995 with an early grounding in music through guitar and bass. In 2017 he began formal training in production and DJing, drawing influence from artists including Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Hernan Cattaneo and Stereo Underground.
He began performing at clubs and bars in Mar del Plata before relocating to Buenos Aires in 2020, where his production work started to take shape. His releases have appeared on labels including Another Life Music, Droid9, AH Digital and Symmetric Records, building a catalogue that sits consistently within progressive house.
His original track A New Star drew remix attention from Tomas Novelli and Agustin Aluise on The Audio Atelier, while Sintonia on Symmetric Records attracted a rework from Hakan Ozurun. More recently he has been on remix duty himself, reworking Yohai Mor's Keep It Dark for AH Digital in 2025 and tackling Dylan Deck and DEGG's Cloud 9 for Droid9 later that year. You can hear more of his work on SoundCloud. This week he brings his sound to After Hours for the second hour.
After Hours 465 opens with PatriZe selecting across a familiar network of South American and European Progressive House labels, the hour beginning with Agnes Obel's Fuel To Fire in a Cris Rosales Rework. An unusual starting point given Obel's indie folk origins, it nonetheless works as an atmospheric entry into the set before DJ Paul (AR) and NAHS's Angel on Balkan Connection establishes firmer progressive ground.
Urbaniza's Oasis in the Jesuan M Remix on Future Avenue and Marc (AR)'s Kantos on Droid9 carry the hour forward with the South American label connections giving the section a coherent identity. J.P. Velardi's Märchenland featuring Mariana A in the Dunadry Remix on PHW Elements follows naturally, its melodic warmth sitting comfortably within the mood PatriZe has established.
Evegrem and Axel Zambrano's Mistakes in the Da Luka and Jorgio Kioris Remix on Droid9 and Nicolas Benedetti's Symmetrie in the Simos Tagias Remix on Just Movement sustain the progressive direction through the hour's mid-section. Bachir Salloum's Of Time and Space in the Weird Sounding Dude Remix on Juicebox Music adds a slightly more textured quality before proceedings move towards the close.
Missus and Jose Tabarez's Meraki on Strangers Beats provides one of the more personal selections of PatriZe's hour, the label's underground credentials fitting naturally within the set's broader aesthetic. Kay-D's A Smiling Angel in the Dany DZ Remix on Massive Harmony Records then brings the first hour to a close with a sense of measured resolution.
Matías Ocaño takes the second hour in a slightly warmer, more Organic House-leaning direction from the outset, Gux Jimenez and Alexander Urzola's Marimbalenque opening with a percussive, earthy quality. Dmitry Molosh's Distant Land then pulls things back towards a more melodic Progressive House register before Nōpi's Unforgettable Dawn introduces the first clear Organic House moment of the hour.
Namatjira's Sounds Of Sunday Morning in the RIGOONI Remix and Evren Ulusoy's Ada continue in a measured, groove-conscious direction, the two selections forming a natural mid-section. Julian Nates's Algorithm and Paul Deep (AR)'s Native sustain the progressive thread before Berni Turletti and Greenage's Akasha and a second Nōpi selection, Organic Idyll, reinforce the Organic House strand that has run through the hour.
Hasith and Juan Sapia's Our Heart of Ruin closes the episode on a suitably contemplative note, rounding off a second hour that balanced organic warmth with progressive structure throughout. After Hours 465 is a consistently melodic and unhurried two hours, both hosts programming within the same broad aesthetic while bringing subtly different emphases to their respective selections.
