DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station and DJ Agency for the region with a global following.

DJ Joshua is a Portuguese DJ and music hoarder hailing from Evora. His main hobby is collecting electronic music and performing as a disc jockey and he owns a large assortment of music across all formats including vinyl, and digital.

As a teenager, he accumulated genres such as House, Drum and Bass, Chillout, and Techno and many more. His time spent digging for vinyl in record shops was multiplied in his bedroom where he practised as a DJ utilising every genre.

In the early nineties, his love for electronic music was not reflected to on the airwaves as it was omitted on radio stations across Portugal. After negotiating with local stations and a lot of patience, he gained a host of residencies and began his journey on the airwaves, divulging his collection of electronica to Portuguese electronic music fans.

In the years that followed, he recognised a need to start doing parties and share his passion in clubs and bars with the electronic masses. When his daughter came into the world he took a break from the scene to raise his firstborn.

As she grew he wanted a new outlet for his love affair with music and began a new radio show named 'Floating Beats'. Since then he has gained a massive following with his online presence and his shows are broadcast internationally.

After raising an audience, he decided he needed the next show to display the deep and soulful expression of House Music and his second show 'Velvety Elements' evolved. His 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' podcasts are broadcast on a fair few online platforms and stations across the planet.

In closing, Joshua has this to say 'Music is an art form. It is the fusion of elements that can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body, enjoy it.'

In his weekly shows, Joshua delves into a mixture of House Music and Techno sub-genres frequently featuring Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit House, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday 12th of September 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
