Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns this Saturday on Scientific Sound Asia, hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz. The debut episode launches with a driving opening set from Nocturne and features a special guest mix by DJ J Marie, bringing a fresh dose of groove and vibrant house energy to the station’s airwaves.
Hailing from Los Angeles, DJ Nocturne began his career in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz, performing across Southern California with high-energy sets that fused Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, and a wide range of Latin genres, including Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, and Cumbia.
In 2013, he transitioned into Electronic Music, teaming up with DJ MORE to form Digital Audio Kingz and earning exposure on FM radio. By 2018, he evolved into Nocturne and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a globally syndicated House and Dance mix show that has continued to grow through the CHNR Syndication Network.
Now based in San Diego with additional operations in Los Angeles, Nocturne keeps pushing boundaries through projects like On the Deep End, focusing on Deep, Progressive, and Melodic House and Techno, and Deep House Sessions. All of his mixes are available through DAK Music, with a mission to share the energy and spirit of House music with listeners worldwide.

Guest DJ J Marie.
Born Jeanette Marie Rodrigues and originally from San Francisco, CA, DJ J Marie was raised in Santa Rosa and has long held a passion for music. Inspired by her favourite DJs, she began teaching herself the craft, turning her deep appreciation for music into a creative pursuit behind the decks.
She connected with other DJs online, building relationships within the Bay Area music community and learning from more experienced artists. Through this support network, she quickly developed her skills and style, focusing on curating energetic, feel-good sets.
J Marie has gone on to organise her own collaborative DJ events online, including The Music Curators, working with respected Bay Area figures like Chuy Gomez and DJ Tonga Kid. Motivated by a love of music and community, she continues to refine her technique and share positive energy through her mixes.
DJ Nocturne kicks off the show with a Deep House-infused hour featuring silky grooves like Remember When by AR38 Needs and Tremble by Yolanda Be Cool. Blending in bold Tech House rhythms with tracks from Gina Breeze and LAWZ, this first set spans classic House touches and peak-time dancefloor energy.
Uplifting vocal-led selections continue with Be With You by Tiffy Vera and the nostalgic remix of Teardrops by Womack & Womack, leaning into soulful and emotional Dance vibes. Closing the first hour, DJ Nocturne blends Latin influences and catchy basslines with selections like Revoltosa and Jungle for a fiery finish.
DJ J Marie takes the reins in the second hour with smooth Deep House selections such as These Are Just Places To Me Now and Ghetto Boy, before exploring Funky House with Know How and Lovely Day. Her set elegantly moves from feel-good Disco to modern soulful grooves, showcasing her diverse taste and uplifting style.
The episode wraps with crowd-pleasers like My My My (Funktuary Mix) and the timeless The Rhythm of the Night by Corona. Whether you’re craving classic Italo House, soulful Disco edits, or underground Deep House music, this week’s mix is a perfect Saturday soundtrack. Cali’s HouseNation Radio continues to spotlight the best House DJs and dancefloor anthems from around the globe.
Tune in to the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, August 2nd, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't catch it live, you have another chance to listen on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
