Marco Mei, the experienced Italian DJ and producer from Bicycle Corporation, has unveiled the tracklist for his latest radio broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia. As a key platform for electronic and urban music across Asia and beyond, Scientific Sound Asia is essential in linking global audiences to innovative underground sounds.

With a career exceeding 30 years, Marco has established a reputation for his diverse, rhythmically engaging DJ sets. Celebrated for his skill in incorporating Afro-influenced grooves into modern electronic formats, he has become a globally respected figure, recognised for consistently providing compelling and energetic performances.

Marco's musical path began in the early 1990s amongst the busy record shops and dynamic underground clubs of Turin, Italy. His enthusiasm for genres including House, Techno and Afro-infused rhythms resulted in his participation with the Urban People collective, an important group that contributed to shaping Italy's electronic scene through significant events and club nights.

His increasing presence secured him a notable residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where his profile grew internationally. Since then, Marco has performed at renowned venues worldwide, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, with each performance further establishing his reputation as a dynamic and adaptable artist.

Marco's electronic music contribution extends beyond DJ performances. In 2009, he partnered with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano (also known as 6884) to create Bicycle Corporation. The partnership has since produced over 50 tracks and remixes, covering House, Techno, French House, Deep House and Tech House, with releases on respected labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox.

Following his move to Taipei in 2010, Marco became central to the region's nightlife, contributing to the local electronic music scene development whilst continuing to expand his Asian following. His regular continental performances have demonstrated his talent for combining cultures and styles, earning him recognition for innovation and inclusiveness.

Beyond his club performances, Marco presents an established radio show with Scientific Sound Asia. Each episode demonstrates his musical understanding and taste, providing listeners with smooth genre-crossing selections. These broadcasts capture the same energy and skill that characterise his live performances.

With appearances across Europe, Asia and Africa, Marco Mei remains a global representative for electronic music. Through his studio work with Bicycle Corporation, his impactful DJ performances and his carefully curated radio shows, he continues to influence and inspire the contemporary dance music scene.

DJ Marco Mei opens this episode with a string of driving House and Tech House cuts that set a confident tone. The likes of Giacomotto with Let It Go, Arche’s Flights, and East End Dubs’ Rapture establish early momentum, complemented by Coeo’s Fantasy and Dompe’s remix of the Armando classic 100 Disin’ Of You.

The middle of the mix keeps the energy flowing, blending floor-ready anthems with genre-hopping twists. JR from Dallas and Funkelastiks team up on Happy Hippie, adding a burst of Jackin House, while UK Garage textures arrive via Lewis Taylor’s Serenity. Mau P’s Like I Like It and Iglesias with Joshwa’s Mind Your Business amplify the club-ready appeal.

As the set unfolds, soulful House and groove-infused productions take the spotlight. Easttown’s Momentum, Johan S with Rollin’, and the LF System hit Big Sax deliver catchy, funk-leaning moments, while Moby, Blond:ish and Kiko Franco revisit Natural Blues with an uplifting twist.

Marco closes strong with refined Deep House and Nu Disco selections from Soul Clap featuring Haven Star on Gone Stumblin’, Tibasko’s Not Ur Business, and Yuksek with Isaac Delusion on She’s Mine. The Martinez Brothers’ remix by Peggy Gou brings a distinctive Indie Dance flavour to round off this energetic episode.

Don't miss Marco Mei's live performance on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't tune in live, you can catch the replay on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM ICT, giving you another chance to enjoy this expertly crafted mix.
