DJ Joshua, hailing from Evora, Portugal, is a dedicated electronic music aficionado. His extensive collection, ranging from digital tracks to vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes, reflects his deep passion for the genre. In his formative years, he devoted countless hours to honing his DJing abilities and carefully curating selections from diverse styles like Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout.
During the 1990s, Portugal experienced considerable resistance to rave music, resulting in its prohibition from radio broadcasts. Nonetheless, DJ Joshua sustained his enduring enthusiasm for electronic music.
DJ Joshua took on the role of organizing House and Techno music events at various clubs and bars. Working closely with his colleagues, he effectively brought his creative vision to life. His impact reached beyond the local scene, attracting audiences from multiple cities.
DJ Joshua chose to pause his event organizing and radio work temporarily after welcoming his first child. He shifted his focus to wholeheartedly embrace his new role as a parent.
As his daughter matured, DJ Joshua found his passion for music rekindled. Driven by this resurgence of inspiration, he launched a new creative venture: the Floating Beats podcast and radio show.
