Bicycle Corporation Announce Obadius For First 'Foundations' Show.

Italian DJ and production Duo Bicycle Corporation Foundations Logo With Soundsystem below City and Text description in black and white with green foundations below city.

Bicycle Corporation guest DJ Obadius will be presenting his first 'Foundations' show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for the region and internationally.

Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and Producer Marco MEI plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. In the early nineties, Marco was starting on his musical journey as a DJ and producer and began doing his events as a crew known as 'Urban People' across the whole of Italy. This earned him recognition and he earned a residency at Pacha, which in turn led to him getting DJ bookings internationally, and launched him on a musical journey around the globe.

Born and brought up in Torino, Italy, Stefano in his childhood displayed a wealth of abilities with music. He studied with passion classical piano, percussion, and drums, he loved his Chopin's and west African Djembe, but that figure of the disc jockey rearing the crowd proved more and more enchanting for the teenage Stefano.

He wondered if those very electronic beats, so hard to find on ‘90s Italian radio stations, were going to open a completely new chapter in his life and then Bicycle Corporation evolved. Recently they have revisited their first tracks and have set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them.

Guest DJ Obadius.

This week's guest DJ is Obadius, Obadius is a synonym for melodicity. Hailing from Tehran, Iran and currently residing in Kuala Lumpur, he has been steadily building a name for himself.

His music journey started at the age of 17, forming his taste and music principles. Since it all started back in 2008, a year that marked his move to Kuala Lumpur; a city which he now calls home, Obadius has performed at the top venues across the region such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam (EPIZODE Festival) and more.

He is always delivering his deep, hypnotic groove and taking a path of versatility and consistency in his style. Since 2016 he's been the resident DJ of the infamous SWEATBOX parties organized by Art Xtreme Media and he's become one of the most in-demand DJs in Malaysia, sharing the decks with artists such as Sammy Dee, Wareika, Pan-Pot, David Gtronic, Gerd Janson, Zendid, ANOTR, Subb-an, Clive Henry, Eddie Richards, Maher Daniel, Davide Squillace, Dan Andrei, Kenny Glasgow, Dennis Cruz, Sabb, Nic Fanciulli, Chus & Ceballos, Djuma Soundsystem, Rick Maia and many more.

The influences in his music are from artists who are remarkable through the complexity and depth of their sound, crafty producers, not necessarily known for their name but for the incredible skills they have behind the decks or in the studio. With house and micro-house close to his heart, Obadius has established his sound and has a promising allure to his music.

Whether it's a short set or a few hours of fun behind the decks, his decade long journey has carved a path exciting to follow. His tunes picks are alluring, sensible, gracefully delivered and we can seldom recognise them. There is an air of unique flavour to his sets and very rarely do you hear the same record in another DJ's bag.

Listen live on Friday 12th of November 2021 10 PM to 12 AM Indochina Time (ICT) and repeat Tuesday 10 AM to 12 PM (ICT).
