Episode 683 of After Hours is hosted by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe, with a guest mix from rising Indonesian talent Ini Budi. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, an electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency based in Vietnam, the show continues to engage international audiences through regular broadcasts and events centred around Ho Chi Minh City and beyond.

Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has become a prominent figure in the Progressive House scene, recognised for his smooth transitions, emotive selections, and refined melodic sensibility. Influenced early on by Trance and Techno, his evolution into Progressive House allowed him to develop a more nuanced and expressive style.

He has performed at clubs and festivals across Europe and Southeast Asia, with a major breakthrough in 2010 when he shared the stage with Guy J and Pole Folder. That same year, he won the Night Museum DJ Competition, helping cement his profile on the international circuit.

In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital with long-time collaborator Hypnotised. Their first release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 in both the Techno and Tech House categories, later receiving a remix by Rui Da Silva. AH Digital has since become a respected name in the Progressive House landscape, with numerous appearances in Beatport’s Top 100.

PatriZe continues to play a key role in Pattaya’s underground music community, holding residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace. He also features on platforms like Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun, Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials, and hosts his long-running After Hours series, a platform that consistently supports both established names and new voices in the scene.

Emerging from Jakarta’s vibrant underground scene, Ini Budi represents a bold new voice from the Gen Z generation. With a keen ear for layered, emotive sounds, he has quickly made a name for himself through his progressive house sets, defined by rich melodies, fluid grooves, and a strong sense of momentum.

Recognised early on as a raw talent, Budi has developed into more than just a skilled DJ. He is also producing original tracks and remixes, displaying a creative maturity well beyond his years.

His debut solo track, Untold Story, released on AH Digital in June 2025, offers a deep and melodic journey filled with moody atmospheres and subtle percussive detail and is including in this show. The production balances introspective pads with a steady groove, revealing a maturity that goes beyond his years.

Just days later, Budi delivered a remix of Adithya’s Garden State for Exx Boundless, injecting the original with his signature blend of melodic drive and emotional weight. His remix stands out for its layered structure, crisp drum programming, and delicate synth work, bringing a unique interpretation that’s both dancefloor-ready and sonically rich.

Together, these tracks cement Ini Budi’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s most promising emerging talents in progressive house. His performances are polished yet adventurous, often featuring unreleased material that highlights his forward-thinking approach. Supported by a tight-knit community and building momentum rapidly, Ini Budi is not simply riding the wave of the next generation, he is helping to shape it.

PatriZe opens After Hours 683 with a thoughtful and immersive selection rooted in Progressive House. Tracks like Mixed Feelings by Dylan Deck and Feather by Dowden showcase the set’s textured flow, carried by clean melodic phrasing and subtle rhythmic shifts. From the layered remix of Afterhours to the hypnotic cadence of Sunless, the first half unfolds with smooth precision.

The set continues with deeper selections from Sound Fusion and VegaZ (SL), followed by Gowzer’s Right Place, Right Time, a standout for its emotive progressions and crisp production. As it builds toward Digital Mess and Neuralis, PatriZe leans into more expressive atmospheres, maintaining coherence while injecting complexity into the mix.

Ini Budi picks up the baton with a more eclectic palette, bringing in Khumbam by Marquee to establish a deeper, slightly darker groove with a hint of Melodic House & Techno. Progressive themes persist in Nomade and Lost Love, while his bootleg of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Innerbloom adds a personal and atmospheric touch, blending emotional resonance with subtle dancefloor energy.

The final stretch includes Organic House from Dastan and STEREO MUNK, offering warmth and percussive intricacy. Original productions by Ini Budi such as Untold Story and his unofficial remix of Shiva Valley close the episode with an introspective tone, making for a thoughtful and genre-spanning second hour.
