Rumesh presents Petrichor episode 83 on Scientific Sound Asia, with guest DJ Rudy Crystal and the programme playlist. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Rumesh, whose real name is Rumesh Peiris, is a Sri Lankan DJ and the host of the Petrichor Podcast series. Within Sri Lanka's underground music evolution, he has developed a strong affinity for Progressive House.
He established Petrichor hosted by Rumesh as a radio podcast series that has welcomed international talent each week. At the time of publication, the previous week's show was presented as this week's second hour.

This weeks guest DJ is Rudy Crystal, Rudy Crystal is a DJ and producer of Progressive House, born in Italy in the early nineties. Ever since he was a kid, he was passionate about music and started playing the cello as a child, spending four years honing this art.
Then due to his uncles' interests, he started to engage with electronic music and began to learn to produce and also to DJ. In the years which followed he performed in various clubs with a close friend Christian Monique which began a collective collaboration in production to which they have released a good few tracks.
Currently, Rudy Crystal works with artists from all over the world in the Progressive House scene and performs regular shows on various radio platforms, enjoy the show!
Petrichor 83 opens with John Rayet Cusp's Words in Naanu's remix for Polyptych, before Nacho Quaglini's Phases on 3rd Avenue establishes the Progressive House direction. Marat Mode & The LooK follow with the Juanjo Tur remix of Endless Feat. Eleonora on Alpha Black.
Kandar's Christian Monique remix of Dynamo for Bevel Rec keeps the set moving, followed by Radicz's Ricardo Piedra remix of Last Material on Astrowave. Matthias Schuell's own remix of Th Moy, Mio Destino then returns to Alpha Black.
Black Onyx's Time Out of Mind on INU Musika brings the sequence back to Progressive House, and Chihaka's Naethan remix of Pinda on Particles follows. Mayro's Consequences, released through Kitchen Recordings, carries that sound into the closing stretch.
I Am Wolter closes with Kschk's remix of Merciful Lord on Stellar Fountain, drawing on Melodic House and Techno. The final selection gives the programme a more melodic finish after its Progressive House core.
