Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation presents his 2021 Podcast 37 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Marco Mei is an Italian DJ and producer with more than thirty years of experience. At the beginning of his career, he was drawn to Afrobeat and synthesised music.
He began his DJ career in the early 1990s and has since played festivals and nightclubs internationally. Along the way, he has shared the decks with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Justin Berkmann, Funk D’Void and Sander Kleinenberg.
Marco held a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm El Sheikh before touring internationally. His appearances have included Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk.
In 2009, he formed a production partnership with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, and the Bicycle Corporation project was born. The pair developed their work alongside a community of house and techno enthusiasts.
The duo’s first signing was with 17:44 Record Company, and its work has appeared through Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox. Bicycle Corporation has released more than 50 tracks and remixes across deeper house, tech-house, French house and techno, including a Hard Techno remix of Virus D.D.Ds’ Origination, released on 31 August.
Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Marco plays regular regional events with European underground influences. These appearances have connected him with a wider network of established artists across South East Asia.
His weekly show spans Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. He is available for international bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency.

Black Widow and Emmaculate’s Love Manifesto in the Yoruba Soul Mix on Papa Records follows Tomos, with Soul Wun’s For George providing another deep-house selection. Workerz’ A Place For Us on Feedasoul Records then introduces House Music to the central run.
Trilogy Inc.’s 313 on Nu Groove, Yann Polewka’s Luv Me, Baby on Roots For Bloom Records and Tilman’s Say Good-Bye on Shall Not Fade keep the set focused on house rhythms. Jerk Boy’s Keep It On, featuring Mike Dunn and released through Refuge Recordings, and Jamie 326 & Masalo’s Testify in the Terrence Parker Remix carry that club direction forward.
Jerome Sydenham and Fatima Njai’s Krimson Blossom on Kraftmatic Records brings the programme back to Deep House, before Keinemusik’s Confusion, featuring Ali Love, enters the sequence. Kameelah Waheed’s America The Beautiful in the Bruise Vocal on F*CLR Records is followed by Jerome Sydenham’s Trans Afro Express in the Gerd Janson Dance Mix, featuring Fatima Njai and Mario Punchard.
Jacob Korn’s My Business on Let’s Play House and Cinthie’s Offenbach Anthem on Shall Not Fade sustain the late Deep House mood. Norty Cotto’s Do Ur Thang in the Maslow Unknowns Deep Swing Edit leads into Mall Grab’s Love Reigns, before Lifelike closes with My Precious Diamond on Mostiko and its measured Groove feel.
