El Brujo returns with El Brujo and The Wild Bunch episode 23, this time featuring guest DJ Falso Simulacro on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
El Brujo, whose real name is Robert Milanesi, is an Italian DJ and producer born in 1964 whose involvement with electronic music developed through Bologna’s underground scene. By the mid-1990s, he had become closely connected with the city’s rave culture and the developing House and Techno movements surrounding it.
His production career moved into official releases in 2008 with Warriors on the Milan-based Open Legs label. That release marked the beginning of a catalogue that would later extend across several areas of underground electronic music while retaining the raw character associated with his early club background.
In 2010, El Brujo launched Jambalay Records, with the label’s opening event taking place at Club Geminis in Ibiza harbour. The imprint became an important outlet for his own productions as well as music from other artists connected with his wider network.
The label gained further attention in 2011 when Maya Jane Coles included one of El Brujo’s tracks in her February chart. Around the same period, his collaboration with Big Mojo on The Way to Mozambique formed part of a productive period that also included the physical CD project Nutty Fellas Are Go.
His catalogue continued to develop through labels including Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Berlin After Dark, Music Is The Drug, Gobekli Tepe, Fortwin Records, Bunker, Mad Rhythm, SE7ENS and Physical Techno. These releases demonstrate his willingness to move across different electronic styles rather than remaining restricted to one narrow production formula.
In January 2019, Plastic Dreams on Frame Workxx reached number 33 on Beatport’s Hard Techno Top 100. The chart result highlighted the heavier side of El Brujo’s catalogue and added to a body of work already built through years of independent label activity.
His music often draws on cosmic and science-fiction ideas, giving many of his productions a darker and more atmospheric identity. Even when moving between House, Techno and related electronic styles, his work retains a raw production character and a preference for unconventional detail.
Alongside his studio work, El Brujo uses El Brujo and The Wild Bunch as a platform for artists connected with his wider circle of producers and DJs. Each edition combines his own selections with a guest appearance, allowing the programme to move through different interpretations of House, Techno and underground electronic music.
Episode 23 continues that format with Falso Simulacro joining the programme as this edition’s guest. El Brujo’s section draws from current promos, releases and music from artists around his network before handing the programme to another member of the wider Wild Bunch.

This episode’s guest is Falso Simulacro, the stage name of Argentinian DJ and producer Rodrigo Perez Moran. Based in Buenos Aires, he has been active behind the decks for more than thirty-five years and has built his career through club residencies, guest appearances, radio and production.
Falso Simulacro began DJing in the mid-1980s and became a resident at a number of clubs across Buenos Aires. Those early years placed him within the development of Argentina’s electronic music scene and gave him extensive experience working with different audiences and club environments.
His activity soon extended beyond the capital, with guest appearances at events across Argentina. During the early 1990s, he also spent time performing in Uruguay, adding an international element to a career that was already firmly established at home.
Alongside DJing, Falso Simulacro gradually moved deeper into electronic music production. In 1993, he worked as a production assistant at Top Records, an experience that gave him a stronger technical foundation for the studio work that would follow.
His productions have since moved across House, Deep House, Progressive House, Tech House and Techno. That range reflects the breadth of his DJ background while allowing him to shift between deeper, more melodic material and stronger club-focused tracks.
Listeners can explore his recorded DJ work through Mixcloud, where his sets document another side of his long involvement with electronic music. His approach remains rooted in experience rather than a single genre, drawing on decades spent in clubs and behind the decks.
Radio has also become an important part of his activity, giving him a way to reach listeners outside Argentina. His sets have appeared through international stations including Maxximixx Electra in Tel Aviv and LDN Radio in London, alongside appearances on Scientific Sound Asia.
These broadcasts have allowed Falso Simulacro to present a broader range of House and Techno than would always be possible within a shorter club set. The format also suits an artist whose career has developed through long-term involvement with both DJ culture and production.
His appearance on El Brujo and The Wild Bunch brings that experience into a programme built around El Brujo’s wider network of underground producers and DJs. Falso Simulacro contributes a selection shaped by decades of club work, radio and studio activity, adding an Argentinian perspective to the series.
El Brujo opens the first hour of The Wild Bunch Episode 23 with his own "United Techno Familia (Here We Are)", immediately establishing the programme's connection with Techno before A503X follows with "The Light Of Darkness". "Devil In Da House", Reinoud van Toledo's "Tus Suenos" and the two N86 selections continue the underground momentum, balancing harder rhythmic material with the broader electronic approach associated with NDI.
Mirojam's "Summit" leads into Paolo Del Prete, Andry Verx and Emison's "You Are My Silence", where El Brujo's remix brings LadyAfroHouse's vocal into a firmly techno-oriented treatment. Miss Nala, Freqmind and Gianni Piras maintain that varied progression before "The Princess And The Slave" closes El Brujo's hour, completing a set that moves between driving club music, deeper electronic textures and occasional House Music influences.
Falso Simulacro takes control of the second hour with Basscontroll's remix of "Lie Machine", followed by El Brujo's treatment of Twist3d's "Momentum" and N86's "Elevated" as the programme settles into a darker, more hypnotic direction.
