DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with episode 32 of his 2026 radio series on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco has developed an adaptable style spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and understanding of different club audiences have established him as an experienced figure within underground electronic music across Europe and Asia.
Marco began DJing in Turin during the early 1990s as Italy’s underground club scene was expanding rapidly. Through his involvement with the Urban People collective, he became closely connected with local events, club culture and the city’s growing electronic music community.
That early period gave him experience in both DJing and event organisation before his reputation extended beyond Turin and across Italy. International opportunities followed as his profile continued to develop.
A residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh became an important stage in Marco’s career. The position introduced him to a broader international audience and opened the way for further bookings across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Over the years, Marco has performed at clubs and venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances strengthened his experience of different club cultures while allowing his sets to respond to the character and energy of each dancefloor.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together they have developed a catalogue of more than fifty original productions and remixes covering a broad range of club-focused and melodic electronic music.
Their releases have appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The partnership combines Marco’s understanding of dancefloor structure and programming with Stefano’s musical training, instrumentation and studio experience.
That balance allows Bicycle Corporation to shift between rhythm-led material and more melodic productions without reducing the project to one fixed formula. Their catalogue reflects the wide musical interests both artists have developed throughout their careers.
Marco continues to share new music, radio episodes and production activity through his Facebook page. His selections connect earlier influences with contemporary club material while retaining the identity developed through decades of DJing.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains closely connected with electronic music activity across Asia through clubs, radio and regional collaborations. His position in the region allows him to combine an extensive European background with direct experience of club cultures and artist communities across the continent.
Episode 32 continues the series with another selection shaped by Marco’s long experience as a DJ, producer and international performer. The programme remains an outlet for his broad musical interests, careful pacing and continuing connection with underground club culture.
DJ Marco Mei opens Episode 32 with Cherie Amore and Daniel Steinberg before Justin Johnson introduces the first Breaks selection through Love Bone. Easttown quickly restores the House Music focus with Back To The Flow, before The He-Men and GRAVITATE briefly push the set into Breakbeat and UK Garage territory.
Hifi Sean, Julius Strieder, Pure Colors and Trimtone then establish a longer House sequence built around direct grooves and club-focused rhythm. Sterling Void and Paris Brightledge bring a clear Chicago House connection through the Joe Friend and Steve Friend re-edit of It's All Right, followed by Sgt Slick's Disco House cut Be With You.
Sam Frandisco with Yomanda, DJ PP and CASSIMM with Mahalia Fontaine keep the centre of the programme firmly rooted in House, with Toolroom Trax and Toolroom both represented in close succession. Folamour's Music Is Life and HDSN's Moma Used To Say extend that run before Huxley's Radio Slave edit of Monie adds a tougher, stripped-back turn.
Joseph Capriati and Gennaro continue the House direction with Control, followed by Purple Disco Machine and Karen Harding on Kenny Dope's remix of Love For Days. The combination of Purple Disco Machine and Kenny Dope brings classic disco-informed House energy into one of the set's strongest crossover moments without shifting away from its dominant club foundation.
Wayne Williams and Steve Miggedy Maestro then make the Disco influence more explicit with Under Your Spell, before Jackie Moore's This Time Baby reinforces the connection to classic Disco. These tracks give the latter part of the programme a warmer and more overtly vintage direction after the heavier concentration of contemporary House.
Mike Simmons' Jazz Affair brings the programme back to House before Mike Hitman Wilson and Shawn Christopher close with the Redzone Mix of Another Sleepless Night. Across Episode 32, House overwhelmingly dominates the selection, while Breaks, Breakbeat, UK Garage, Chicago House, Disco House and Disco give Marco Mei several carefully placed changes in texture and era.
