DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with episode 31 of his 2026 radio series on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco has developed an adaptable style spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and understanding of different club audiences have established him as an experienced figure within underground electronic music across Europe and Asia.
Marco began DJing in Turin during the early 1990s as Italy’s underground club scene was expanding rapidly. Through his involvement with the Urban People collective, he became closely connected with local events, club culture and the city’s growing electronic music community.
That early period gave him experience in both DJing and event organisation before his reputation extended beyond Turin and across Italy. International opportunities followed as his profile continued to develop.
A residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh became an important stage in Marco’s career. The position introduced him to a broader international audience and opened the way for further bookings across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Over the years, Marco has performed at clubs and venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances strengthened his experience of different club cultures while allowing his sets to respond to the character and energy of each dancefloor.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together they have developed a catalogue of more than fifty original productions and remixes covering a broad range of club-focused and melodic electronic music.
Their releases have appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The partnership combines Marco’s understanding of dancefloor structure and programming with Stefano’s musical training, instrumentation and studio experience.
That balance allows Bicycle Corporation to shift between rhythm-led material and more melodic productions without reducing the project to one fixed formula. Their catalogue reflects the wide musical interests both artists have developed throughout their careers.
Marco continues to share new music, radio episodes and production activity through his Facebook page. His selections connect earlier influences with contemporary club material while retaining the identity developed through decades of DJing.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains closely connected with electronic music activity across Asia through clubs, radio and regional collaborations. His position in the region allows him to combine an extensive European background with direct experience of club cultures and artist communities across the continent.
Episode 31 continues his long-running Scientific Sound Asia series with another selection shaped by decades of experience as a DJ, producer and international performer. The programme remains an outlet for Marco’s broad musical interests and his continued connection with underground club culture.
DJ Marco Mei opens Episode 31 with Christopher Rau and DJ Alone Again, establishing a warm Deep House foundation before DJ Colentina adds a more melodic direction. DYL (UK) follows with Soulful House, while Hep's dub of It Just Won't Do strips the groove back into a minimal framework before the mix settles into its main House Music thread.
Hush Nothin' begins that house-led run before Riva Starr's remix of Carl Cox and Ian Pooley's Soul Mix of Mateo & Matos strengthen the club focus. Mental Madness Productions introduces a broader electronic dance influence, while MK's remix of Céline Dion and Kenny Carpenter's extended treatment of Michael Jackson bring stronger soulful and vocal elements into the sequence.
Moxy Edits adds Tech House through Moxy Edits 017, followed by Pad Beryll with Andrea Love and Rhoowax as the programme returns to straight House. FederFunk then pushes the set towards Funky House, while Sorley with Mike Dunn provide a DJ-tool transition before LoeJoe introduces Acid House through Underground In The 303.
Lime's I Don't Wanna Lose You brings an electronic diversion before Dam Swindle's remix of 40 Thieves and Qzen introduces Nu Disco and Disco influences. Basile De Suresnes and Bonetti then bring the mix back to House, with Just Wanna Touch Me adding a direct KMS Records connection before Floorplan continues the groove with Only God.
Hobbs and Slick Pete Flash return to Nu Disco and Disco territory with Alright before Mochakk and Joni's Da Fonk arrives in Marco Carola's Bass Mix. ODF's The Rhythm Grooves and NY Stomp's Never Forget House close Episode 31 with two further House selections, giving the final section a clear return to the genre that dominates the programme overall.
