Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with a fresh edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station continues to operate as a vital platform for underground electronic and urban music across Asia, connecting international audiences through radio broadcasts, live events and a global artist network.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a distinctive sound shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and forward-driving club energy. His instinctive understanding of the dancefloor, paired with a refined musical sensibility, has earned him lasting respect and a loyal following across Europe, Asia and beyond.
Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he immersed himself in the city’s underground club culture. Drawn to house, techno and Afro-centric rhythms, he co-founded the Urban People collective, which played a formative role in Italy’s early electronic music movement by organising progressive events and club nights that pushed beyond mainstream boundaries.
A pivotal chapter followed with a residency at Pacha Sharm El Sheikh, bringing wider international recognition and opening the door to performances at respected venues worldwide. His touring history includes clubs such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, among many others.
In 2009, Marco joined forces with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, forming Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, appearing on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their output consistently balances club functionality with musical depth, earning steady support across the underground circuit.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains an active and influential presence within the region’s electronic music scene. Through his ongoing radio work with Scientific Sound Asia, he distils decades of experience into carefully curated selections that honour classic club culture while embracing contemporary sounds. Each broadcast offers a snapshot of Marco Mei’s enduring connection to the dancefloor, reinforcing his role as a bridge between generations, scenes and global underground communities.
DJ Marco Mei opens his 2026 series with a confident House-led selection that immediately sets a warm and groove-driven tone. Tracks like Special Kind Of Love and 1,2,3,4 establish a balance between classic House songwriting and contemporary Deep House production, while Embrace and House Music reinforce the foundations of the genre with stripped-back rhythms and timeless club energy.
As the mix develops, deeper textures and soulful moments take centre stage. Do It and Black Water introduce smooth basslines and emotive vocals, while Dance, Dance, Dance and LMTA bring a refined blend of Soulful House and underground sensibility. These selections maintain flow and musicality, leaning into warmth without losing momentum.
Midway through the set, Funky House and modern club influences lift the energy. Marilu and Ride The Rhythm inject bounce and personality, while Flip Dat and She Got Dis sharpen the groove with crisp drums and vocal hooks. The inclusion of H2DAIZZO adds a subtle Minimal and Deep Tech edge, expanding the sonic palette without breaking cohesion.
The closing stretch focuses on peak-time House energy and crossover appeal. Devils Dance and That Thing keep the rhythm tight and driving, while Someone and Been A Long Time deliver hands-in-the-air moments rooted firmly in House tradition. The episode wraps with Bomb Edit, a Garage-infused closer that nods to classic UK influences, rounding out a polished and forward-looking start to DJ Marco Mei’s 2026 run.
Don’t miss DJ Marco Mei’s live set on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can’t tune in for the live show, catch the replay on Wednesday between 6 and 8 AM ICT.
