Bicycle Corporation guest DJ Chemical Oli will be presenting his first 'Electronic Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian pairing of the DJ and producer Marco MEI plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. In the early nineties, Marco was starting on his musical journey as a DJ and producer.
He started doing his own nights as a collaboration known as 'Urban People' throughout most of Italy. This gained him recognition and he gained a residency at Pacha, Egypt which as a result got him DJ bookings internationally, and launched him on a musical endeavour around the globe.
Raised in Torino, Italy, Stefano displayed a fortitude of abilities with music in his early years. He studied with a passion for classical piano, percussion, and drums, he loved his chopins and west African djembes.
However, that figure of 'the DJ standing on the stage performing' proved more and more alluring for the rebellious Stefano. He wondered if those very electronic beats, difficult to get on ‘90s radio stations in Italy, were going to launch a new beginning in his life and then Bicycle Corporation was born.
Their show 'Electronic Roots' features DJs and producers from and based in Asia performing their 'Roots' across various electronic genres. Bicycle Corporation is available for booking through our DJ agency for Asia.

This week's guest DJ is Chemical Oli, a British DJ who has been spinning as a DJ for over 20 years. Influenced by a myriad of music styles growing up, Oli started as a DJ in Edinburgh, promoting club nights and playing Drum and Bass and Jungle sets.
'Chemical Oli's sets are a vinyl-only mix of Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, House & Techno. A move to Asia in 2010 and a developing musical style led to him diversifying his sound to include elements of Funk, Disco & House Music.
Living in Shanghai, he played at most of the clubs there, holding down a resident at URVC and playing as part of the collective Changhai Wax. Now living on the East Coast of Taiwan, he is part of the Musikbox Soundsystem collective bringing dance music culture to Taitung.
