Bicycle Corporation return with another edition of Foundations, this time featuring guest DJ Elmer Fudge. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo formed by Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Their catalogue includes more than fifty productions and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House, melodic electronic music and Techno.
Marco began his career in Turin during the early 1990s, working with the Urban People collective as a DJ, promoter and event organiser. His growing reputation across Italy eventually led to a residency with Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, which became an important step towards regular international bookings.
That residency helped extend Marco's career beyond the Italian club scene and into a much wider international circuit. Over the years, he has performed across Europe, Asia and other parts of the world while developing an adaptable approach shaped by decades of club experience.
Stefano grew up in Turin and developed a strong musical foundation from an early age through classical piano, percussion and drums. His interests also included Chopin and West African djembe, giving him a broad rhythmic and melodic background before electronic production became his main focus.
As a teenager, Stefano became increasingly fascinated by DJ culture and the electronic music that was still relatively difficult to hear on mainstream Italian radio. Watching DJs perform on Technics SL-1200s encouraged him to explore production more seriously and eventually develop his own studio skills.
When he later met Marco, the pair discovered a shared understanding of underground electronic music and began working together as Bicycle Corporation. Marco's experience on the dancefloor and Stefano's production knowledge allowed the duo to develop a catalogue that moves between deeper, melodic and more driving club material.
Across numerous labels and releases, Bicycle Corporation have maintained a steady output while continuing to work together over the long term. Their partnership reflects a shared interest in underground club culture while leaving room for different influences to shape each project.
The duo have also revisited some of their earlier productions and made them available through their Bandcamp page. The archive gives listeners access to material from different stages of the project while Marco and Stefano continue developing new releases, collaborations and radio episodes.

This week's guest DJ is Elmer Fudge, the stage name of Filipino DJ and producer Paolo Solano from Manila. His musical direction centres on Techno and Organic House, with regular appearances at events across the Philippines.
Elmer Fudge developed his profile through club performances before moving further into production. His sets balance deeper rhythmic material with more driving electronic music, allowing him to shift between atmospheric grooves and stronger dancefloor pressure.
His production work gained further momentum with the release of his first EP, Voyager 1, through Sayaw Records. The project followed a remix released on Love International in 2021 and marked an important step forward in establishing his own catalogue.
Influences including Christian Smith, Drunken Kong and Arni have helped shape his approach to both DJing and production. Their impact can be heard in the combination of groove, repetition and club-focused structure that runs through his electronic music.
Elmer Fudge continues to develop new material while maintaining an active presence behind the decks. Further releases and appearances across the Asian region form part of the next stage of his work as both a DJ and producer.
DJ Elmer Fudge begins Bicycle Corporation Foundations 38 with Drumstone's remix of Nohak's "Nano", opening the programme on a melodic electronic edge before Rodri Go starts turning the pressure towards Techno. Arni's "I Want You" and "White Noise" then bring a distinctly tougher Acid Techno flavour into the sequence, establishing the harder club character that runs through much of the episode.
Rodri Go's "Leader" leads into Gaga, Mateo! and BOHO's "Kenzo", briefly tightening the groove through Deep Tech House before Andres Campo takes over with "Monsters At The Toilet" and "Regrets". Oscar L's "Dark Fate" on Drumcode continues the Peak Time Techno drive, while DEVN6's "6 Games" in its Midnight Mix provides a progressive break in an otherwise increasingly forceful run.
Ignacio M.'s "Lose Me To Love You" introduces a rawer and deeper techno character before Andres Campo returns with "Basik", followed by Rebel Boy, Bloemer and Mark Reeve as the set gathers momentum again. Phoenix Movement's remix of Luca Morris and Mozzy Rekorder's "Sunday" keeps that pressure high, while Mark Broom's remix of Mihalis Safras brings a tougher groove into a middle-to-late section built for sustained dancefloor movement.
VIII-RE's "I'm" on Planet Rhythm adds another Deep Techno turn before UMEK reshapes The Thrillseekers' "Synaesthesia" into a driving techno version far removed from the trance identity of the original. Nonameleft, Key M and Drunken Kong close the programme with another concentrated run of club-focused material, leaving Foundations 38 firmly defined by peak-time power, acid tension and the darker underground side of modern techno.
