Bicycle Corporation guest DJ Giorgio Leone presents his first Electronic Roots show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and DJ agency, as well as a music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian partnership between DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, who also goes by the moniker 6884. At the beginning of the 1990s, Marco began his musical career as a DJ and producer.
He began organising events with the Urban People collective throughout Italy. This work brought recognition and later led to a residency at Pacha in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
After establishing himself at Pacha, Marco received bookings at venues around the world. Those appearances brought him into contact with established figures in electronic music.
Stefano, from Torino, Italy, showed an interest in music from childhood and devoted much of his spare time to it. He studied classical piano, percussion and drums, and developed an appreciation for Chopin's compositions and the rhythms of the West African djembe.
As he grew older, the DJ playing electronic beats to a crowd proved more appealing to Stefano. His interest in electronic music, which was difficult to find on Italian radio stations in the 1990s, led him towards production before he met Marco and Bicycle Corporation was formed.
At the time of publication, their earlier tracks had gone out of contract with their original labels, so they set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them. Electronic Roots is a weekly programme highlighting artists from the Asian electronic music scene and from across the region.

This week's guest DJ is Giorgio Leone. Born in Catania, Italy, in the early nineties, Giorgio was drawn to production from an early age and became fully immersed in his local DJ and producer community while still a teenager. By sixteen, he had begun shaping his own tracks, and by eighteen, he was performing in some of Catania’s most recognised clubs, earning the momentum that would push him into the wider electronic music world.

Now based in Taipei, Taiwan, Giorgio released his early works, Infectious and Call Me, on the Neu Gravity label, establishing the foundations of his sound. His productions often reflect personal experience, giving his techno an introspective edge beneath the intensity.
In recent years, his studio output has continued to expand with tracks such as Abyssal, Vortex Energy, Dark Frequency, Obsidian, Hades and Cyclone, each showcasing his ability to merge atmospheric tension with powerful club-driven force. Releases like Blackout and Eternal Zero further demonstrate his progression into harder, more immersive techno, pairing thunderous low end with sharp, cinematic detail.
Giorgio’s music is defined by commanding rhythms, dark textures and driving energy that transforms a room instantly. The sound he delivers is bold and ethereal, tailored to ignite any dance floor into a state of raw, euphoric momentum. His intention has always been to craft environments charged with intensity while breaking through the boundaries of conventional techno.
Known for his confident stage presence and ability to hold a crowd from the first moment to the last, Giorgio brings the same intention to every performance. Since relocating to Taiwan, he has also founded the collective “Our Muzik”, a project that pushes Taiwan’s techno scene onto the global stage while supporting their label and local artists. Through his releases, performances and community work, Giorgio Leone continues to shape a forward-moving techno identity built on energy, innovation and absolute dance floor commitment.
Giorgio Leone opens Electronic Roots Episode 04 with Reboot before Jack George and Maria Singer move the set firmly into Techno. Electric Rescue’s “Forwer” follows within the harder end of the spectrum, with Beatport classifying its release material as peak-time techno.
Chris Veron, Keikari and Callum Plant keep the early section focused on tightly engineered club tracks before Cleric and Jamie Haus deepen the tone. Chris Veron’s “Forget About The World” was released by Orange Recordings at 130 BPM, matching the episode’s strong peak-time orientation.
Igor Ochoa, Ben Long, Shlomi Aber and Flug with Sebastian Lopez fill the middle section before Giorgio Leone appears with “Chronicles.” His own productions sit naturally within the episode’s Peak Time Techno framework, alongside Giovanni Carozza, Ignacio Arfeli, Tuff London and Mattew Jay.
Spartaque and Green Jack precede Giorgio Leone’s “Don’t Wanna Be,” while Thomas Hoffknecht, Coyu and Ignacio Arfeli with I Am Bam keep the pressure high through the later part of the set. Raffaele Rizzi and Optimuss with Dino Maggiorana follow before Leone returns with “Nomadic,” giving him three separate appearances across the tracklist.
Broken Robot and Mauro Somm surround Julian Jeweil’s “Mars,” which Beatport classifies as Techno (Peak Time / Driving), before Cristian Varela closes the episode with “Mental Expert.” Electronic Roots Episode 04 is therefore overwhelmingly techno-led, with peak-time material forming the clearest dominant category and deeper raw techno supplying the secondary strand.
