Bicycle Corporation introduce guest DJ Robin Rahardian for their new 'Electronic Roots' show episode 46. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is the English language electronic music station for the Asian region and globally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and Producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano a.k.a 6884. They have over 50 releases including genres from Deep House, Tech House, French House, Melodic and Techno.
At the beginning of the nineties, Marco was starting on his musical journey as a DJ and producer. He started a DJ and promotion collective entitled Urban People and they began hosting events all over Italy.
After making a name for himself on his own shores he earned a residency at the world-renowned Pacha Club in Egypt. The demonstration of his art on the turntables gained him a reputation as a party starter and he gained further international bookings.
His partner in crime Stefano started life in Torino, Italy and was a gifted child who showed great talent in the musical arts. His prowess on percussion, drums and classical piano matched his passion for West African Djembes and Chopins.
As he reached maturity in his early teens he became obsessed with another form of music and the imagination of performing as an electronic music DJ on the stage overwhelmed him. He became obsessed with electronic music, even though it was hard to find on the Italian airwaves in the nineties.
Then by chance, he met Marco Mei and the pair had a common understanding of their perception of the electronic arts and Bicycle Corporation was conceived. The companions have transformed their vision of electronic music into releases on many international labels and it is no longer a dream.
As the duo produced together with their renowned skills they had a steady flow of releases and are still working together on more for the coming year. Just recently, their earlier tracks have gone out of contract with the original labels so they have set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them.

This week the guest DJ is Robin Rahardian, Robin Rahardian was born with a lot of passion and talent for music deep down inside his soul. He has a history as a drummer with his old band who liked to explore many kinds of music from Jazz to Psychedelic Rock, and he has track releases of his own.
Electronic music was always an interest since a very young age and well-known artists inspired him in the local and international underground house scene including Garth and Jeno and many talented local heroes. Ever since he heard Garth and Jeno playing a set, he decided to try mixing and getting the hang of turntables and CDJs and his love was born.
Subsequently, he began collecting records and started spinning professionally in 2004 and wanted to explore ever deeper the types of genres evident at the time. He began experimenting with music including House, Deep House, and Nu Disco. He has performed in many underground venues, big clubs and lounges in Indonesia & Asia.
He is also part of the group called Basement House with DJ Ical and has already released singles and EPs. He is also part of the Indonesian-based House Cartel, a House & Techno music collective based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
