Alexander Filatov is a Russian-based DJ, sound producer, mixing and mastering engineer whose work is associated with a distinctive progressive, deep and techno sound and a discerning musical approach. His sound combines dark, bittersweet harmonies with deep and tech beats, alongside references to cold, distant cosmos during his DJ sets.
His music can be bewitching and sometimes strange, using hypnotic rhythms, ethnic and dark vocals, and an unmistakable groove. It brings emotional and euphoric energy with a rhythmic focus suited to dancefloors.
Technical, progressive and deep elements are central to his work, while his work ethic and attention to detail have brought him releases on prestigious labels. Stereocalypse’s Night Survivors on Multinotes adds Indie Dance, before Gelios’s Gradient on Neoteck Music introduces Progressive House. Hideo Kobayashi’s Perfect Perception on BeatData Music follows with Deep House textures.
Mujuice’s Ffwrk Pt 2 Nomer Tvoi on TuneCore brings a Dance Music turn to the selection. Bolgarin’s Yesly, in Alexander Filatov’s remix on Suprematic, follows with Deep Tech House.
Mayro’s The Light on Siona Records returns to progressive house before Ninesh Babu’s Melodic Circus, remixed by Priya Sen and Aman Anand for Mistique Music. Maximalism’s SNYL remix of I See You on Artessa Music develops the Melodic House and Techno emphasis.
Kohra and SHFT’s Mobius on Click Records keeps that melodic house and techno focus in place. Trikk’s Movimento on Innervisions and Nox Vahn’s Brainwasher on Anjunadeep extend the later section.
Cj Jeff and Thomas Gandey’s The Trip on Stereo Productions Catalog brings in Tech House, followed by Modeplex’s Starkato remix of Jaded on Kitchen Recordings and Stylo’s Got Mine on Timeless Moment.
