Our House - Laboratory Edition

This event took place at The Lab - Shots & More, 101 Phạm Ngũ Lão, Phường Phạm Ngũ Lão, Quận 1, Ho Chi Minh City, from 9 PM on 21 December 2019 until 2 AM on 22 December 2019. The venue has since closed, but the original location has been kept for archive accuracy.

Scientific Sound Asia presented the second edition of Our House at The Lab - Shots & More in District 1. The Laboratory Edition brought the night to a new venue, with free entry, House Music selections and a drinks offer for the early part of the evening.

The DJs were booked to throw down upfront House Music for Ho Chi Minh City, moving through Deep House, Tech House, G-House and fresh UK-influenced selections. Guests were invited to bring themselves, a positive attitude and get ready for a free-entry night at one of District 1’s laboratory-themed bars.

Buy-one-get-one-free Tiger Beer was available from 9 PM until 11 PM. The Lab also offered more than 100 shots, cocktails, balloons, beers, two bars, a cosy rooftop and three different floors.

DJs on the night:

DJ Psycho-UK

The head of Scientific Sound Asia brought Deep House and Tech House sounds to the Laboratory Edition. His set connected the Our House series with the wider Scientific Sound Asia network of radio shows, events and underground club music in Vietnam.

Scott Matthew

Scott Matthew travelled down from Nha Trang, where he was active with weekly shows across the city. For this edition, he brought House Music flavours from a Scottish selector with experience in Vietnam’s coastal nightlife scene.

Snookie

After a long break in the UK, Snookie returned to these shores with a selection of fresh cuts from the UK House Music scene. His appearance added another UK-linked House influence to the night.

Al Loudvoic

Al Loudvoic is a Slovakian DJ and producer whose sound is mainly influenced by Tech House, Deep House and G-House. His set added a tougher club edge to the Laboratory Edition line-up.
