Anonymous Z announces playlist for 10th show with guest Bustamante

Anonymous Z presents Not So Anonymous 10 on Scientific Sound Asia, with Bustamante featured in the first hour before the host takes over for the second. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian and international electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and audiences across Asia and internationally.

For the tenth edition, Bustamante opens the programme from Bogotá, Colombia, with a selection spanning Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House, Nu Disco and Melodic House. Anonymous Z follows in the second hour with a Techno-focused set that gives the programme a contrasting direction.

Bustamante is a Colombian DJ and the founder of The Lab Sessions, an artistic collective and movement based around electronic music in Bogotá. He also developed the international TLS Podcast as another platform for artists connected with the collective and its wider network.

The Lab Sessions was created to support both emerging and established DJs through events, festivals and recorded mixes. Its activity across Bogotá brought together local artists with national and international guests while building a broader platform around underground electronic music.

His musical influences draw from Techno, Deep Tech and House scenes associated with cities including Berlin, Detroit, London and Madrid. As a DJ and electronic music producer, he uses those influences within a broader approach centred on groove, texture and club-focused electronic music.

His involvement with The Lab Sessions reflects a wider interest in preserving and promoting electronic music culture rather than focusing only on his own DJ career. The collective and its TLS Podcast provide space for different artists while maintaining a consistent connection with underground House and Techno.

His technical approach behind the decks has included the use of stems and step sequencers through Native Instruments D2 and D8 equipment alongside more conventional CDJ setups. That combination gives him flexibility to work with individual musical elements as well as complete tracks when developing a set.

Anonymous Z takes over for the second hour and has long been associated with underground electronic music in Saigon, Vietnam. His activity in the city includes founding the Mad Circus Epic party series, while an earlier chapter of his career saw him establish Glassroom, Bahrain’s first underground DJ community.

Through Glassroom, he helped bring together DJs, artists and other figures from different backgrounds for sanctioned and unsanctioned parties and after-parties. His long-standing motto, “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds,” reflects the independent attitude that has remained central to his work.

He later joined the Banana Hustle crew, whose tropical approach encouraged him to expand his selections beyond the Techno that had originally shaped his DJing. His digging developed towards Afro, House, Disco and Funk alongside selected Techno and more contemporary Indie Dance.

That wider musical direction led to appearances at venues and parties including Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and Vitamin D after-parties. His sets are shaped around rhythm, basslines and changes in energy rather than following one fixed genre for the duration.

Not So Anonymous gives Anonymous Z room to combine that broader approach with guest DJs whose selections bring a different perspective to the programme. Episode 10 places Bustamante’s House and Deep Tech influences against Anonymous Z’s more Techno-focused second hour, creating two distinct halves within the same edition.

Bustamante opens Not So Anonymous Episode 10 with Zlatnichi's Abbie Pide, setting a stripped and low-slung Deep Tech House tone before Serge Devant's remix of Nice7 and Leon moves into the warmer depths of Deep House. Acid Kids then bridge those two areas through Sometimes and Chirpy, giving the opening section a measured underground feel.

Transparent Sound's What Is Your Name in the Acidulant remix introduces Electro before Armonics and Prospa shift the programme towards Nu Disco and broader disco influences. Boy Harsher's Tears then adds a sharp Peak Time Techno turn, creating the first major rise in intensity.

Jimmy Edgar's remix of Lauren Flax restores a straighter House Music groove before Alex Medina and Âme bring Indie Dance into the latter part of Bustamante's hour. Gerd Janson's remix of Underground System adds another disco-rooted shift, while Nico Stojan's remix of Oliver Koletzki and Monolink closes the section with Organic House.

Anonymous Z starts the second hour with Ripperton's remix of Beanfield and Bajka, returning the programme to a deeper house feel before KiNK pushes the rhythm towards Tech House. Dave Spoon and James Talk then bring Sweet Harmony into Electro House, widening the set before Abe Duque with Blake Baxter and Sam Tiba restore the tighter club groove.

Confluence's Tessellation Resilience introduces another Peak Time Techno passage before Pierre's Fantasy Club returns to Tech House with Fantasy Girl. The Lightning Seeds' Marvellous then brings a final House turn before 999999999 close the episode with Acid Techno, giving the second hour a tougher and more abrasive finish.

Across Not So Anonymous Episode 10, Bustamante and Anonymous Z connect deep and minimal house forms with Electro, Nu Disco, Indie Dance, Organic House, Tech House and tougher Techno. The two hours remain stylistically varied, but the progression stays coherent through a steady balance of groove-led material and sharper electronic shifts.
