Bicycle Corporation's Roots 54, featuring guest DJ Supersonic, is presented on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter that also operates a music-news platform for audiences across Asia and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is the Italian collaboration between DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. In the early 1990s, Marco began his musical career as a DJ and producer, organising events throughout Italy with the Urban People collective.
His work brought recognition and a residency with the electronic music brand Pacha, leading to DJ performances internationally. That residency marked the beginning of his wider international career.
Stefano, who is from Torino, Italy, demonstrated musical ability from a young age. He devoted himself to classical piano, percussion and drums, drawn both to Chopin's compositions and the rhythmic patterns of the West African djembe.
As a young man, Stefano became increasingly interested in the DJ's role in holding an audience. The electronic beats rarely heard on Italian radio during the 1990s suggested a new direction that ultimately contributed to Bicycle Corporation's formation.
Marco is based in Taipei and works across a wider Southeast Asian network, while Bicycle Corporation has released more than fifty productions and remixes. The duo's catalogue includes Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno releases on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx.
Marco is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency and broadcasts weekly through Scientific Sound Asia radio station. His work with Bicycle Corporation brings his experience as a DJ, producer, promoter and event organiser into the programme.

Supersonic’s DJing career began in 2007, during the golden age of the Indie Dance scene. His passion for music and knack for curating infectious sets quickly earned him recognition. By 2016, his career took an exciting turn when he became a resident DJ at the acclaimed Afro and Disco party series House Your Body in New York City. Supersonic’s performances spanned iconic underground venues across the Lower East Side and Brooklyn, where he became known for his ability to blend Afrobeat, Disco, and Indie Dance seamlessly.
In addition to his New York tenure, Supersonic has made a lasting impact on Bangkok’s nightlife. As the founder of the Offline Disco Club, he has dedicated over a decade to preserving the pure essence of Disco. The club is a haven for music lovers who value quality sound and timeless grooves, offering a meticulously curated experience inspired by the golden eras of Disco and House.
Drawing influence from the legendary New York Disco scene and the mid-'80s Chicago House movement, Supersonic crafts sets that transport listeners to a bygone era while keeping them firmly rooted in the present.

Bicycle Corporation's Roots 54 with guest Supersonic opens with Don Sorn Rabieb's Soul Dracula, before Jiraphand Ongard's Thai Boxing brings a Rock selection from Subliminal Sounds. Onuma's Mae Kha Som Tam follows with a Hip Hop entry, setting an early contrast within the Thai-focused opening.
Sak Siam's Jeb Jeb Sab Sab, Waipod's Ding Dong and Thepporn Petchubon's Let's Break Up extend that opening run of Thai recordings. Samai Onwong's Rak Toong Na and Panadda's Yoong then lead into The Petch Phin Thonmg Band's Bump Lam Plern.
Aungkana Kunchai's Toey Salab Pama precedes The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band's Show Wong Molam, released through Zudrangma Records. Chantana Kitiyapan's Sala One and the band's Kwang Noi Chao Lay complete this section before the programme turns towards more contemporary club material.
Bruxas' Tropicaçovas introduces Nu-Disco through Dekmantel, followed by Nu Guinea's Je vulesse on The Pusher Digital. Daniel T.'s All Thai'd Up on Razor-N-Tape adds Disco, while Andrea Benini's El Guerrero on Agogo Records brings African musical context to the sequence.
Simeone's Bagno Elena in the Posillipo Sunset Mix, released by Dancing Tramonto, moves into House Music. Grau and Daniel's El Leon Bailarin in Ray Mang's Circus Dub and DJ Rocca's Hongkong hold the middle of the set before Prins Thomas' Lunga Strada in the Pilotwings Bubble Zouk Remix brings Indie Dance from Prins Thomas Musikk.
Hotmood's Nigerian Secret on See-Saw and Infradisco's Afro Tribe on Spa In Disco return the programme to Disco and Nu-Disco territory. Alkalino's Wonderful Man, Tony Allen and Africa 70's Hustler Super Disco in the Monsieur Scott Reedit on Comet, and King Sporty and The Root Rockers' Fire Keep On Burning in the Al Kent Edit lead to Sunlightsquare's Super People on Sunlightsquare Records, ending the set with House Music.
