Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist for his forthcoming show on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news publisher, connecting artists and audiences across Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Sri Lanka and beyond.
Originally from Italy, Marco brings more than thirty years of experience as a DJ and producer. His early influences included Afrobeat and synthesised music, which helped shape his musical direction before he began DJing professionally in the early 1990s.
His career later expanded to include appearances at major festivals, clubs and international events. He has shared line-ups with artists including Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.
As his profile developed, Marco secured a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm El Sheikh. This period helped establish his international touring career and introduced him to audiences across Europe, Asia and other regions.
His appearances have included Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk. During his career, he has also performed alongside Harry Romero, Justin Berkmann and Funk D’Void.
Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The partnership brought together their experience in DJing and production and led to a substantial catalogue of House and Techno releases.
The duo made their debut through 17:44 before releasing music on Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox. Bicycle Corporation have since produced more than fifty original tracks and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno.
Now based in Taipei, Marco performs regularly across Asia and remains involved in the region’s underground club community. His international experience allows him to draw from several electronic music traditions without restricting his sets to one style.
His weekly radio show features Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. The programme balances rhythm, melody and club-focused selections drawn from Marco’s extensive experience behind the decks.
DJ Marco Mei opens 2021 Podcast 41 with Laurent Garnier’s remix of Myd, introducing the episode’s central House Music thread. Damiano von Erckert follows with “Moons,” bringing Melodic House and Techno into the selection before C2C4 adds Disco.
Metro Area returns the set to house through Maelstrom’s edit of “Miura,” while Marcus Mixx and Krazy K add a Classic House reference with their Chicago house production. Lifelike and Kris Menace then supply the programme’s sole Trance track through “What Time Is Love.”
Sailor & I featuring Thomas Gandey, Derek West, Eelke Kleijn featuring Diana Miro and Emiliano Demarco form a substantial melodic house and techno passage. Radio Slave, Frankey & Sandrino and Julian Wassermann provide the remixes across this section, giving each track a distinct club interpretation.
Maceo Plex and Liberty City introduce Techno, followed by Dennis Ferrer and Disciples with James Yuill in John Summit’s Tech House remix of “Whisper.” DJ Q, Ghettoblaster and Make A Dance add further house selections, while Keinemusik featuring Ali Love brings in Deep House.
Green Velvet starts the first Peak Time Techno passage with Stanley Kubrix’s remix of “La La Land,” followed later by Ralph Falcon, Newbody and T99. Between those tracks, Mija introduces Bass House, while Secondcity and The Dukes supply the final house entries before Chris Liebing’s remix closes the episode.
