DJ Joshua, also known as Joshua Mar from Évora, Portugal, is a dedicated collector of electronic music whose collection ranges from vinyl records to digital tracks. His passion for electronic music, especially Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout, has driven his career as a DJ.
In his early career, DJ Joshua contributed to Portugal’s rave scene during the 1990s, when rave music faced societal resistance. He persevered in sharing his music through local radio programmes and events, gaining recognition in his local community and beyond.
After a brief hiatus to focus on family, DJ Joshua returned to his musical roots and launched his radio shows. Floating Beats showcases electronic music styles through tracks by artists including Halo Varga, Mr.C, and Jorge Caiado, with an engaging mix of Techno and House music.
In the second hour, Velvety Elements explores the soulful side of Deep House, featuring artists such as Frankie Feliciano, Brawther, and Jessica. The show highlights the emotional depth and complexity of the style through a warm, deeper selection.

Jorge Caiado’s Nasha’s Groove (Brawther Deeeeep Dub) on Groovement adds a House Music touch before Halo Varga and Cess return with Drift Away on Fake Records (UK). The pairing keeps the first hour focused on low-slung club rhythm and deep-toned detail.

In the second hour, Velvety Elements begins with Frankie Feliciano’s One Note Samba, then settles into Brawther’s Soothing on Cabinet Records. Jessica’s Fm Dreams on True Deep follows, placing a Deep Tech House track beside the warmer Deep House material.
Ben Murphy’s These Days (Yaya Remix) on Music Related Records keeps the stripped-back Deep Tech House feel in place. B&S Concept’s MoonLight on Spiritualized answers with a more spacious Deep House selection.
D’Julz’s Fast Forward (Raw District Remix 2020 Remastered) on Brique Rouge returns to House Music before Joeoh’s I Can Feel It on NOPRESET Records sharpens the rhythm. Mica (UK)’s Altuma on Piston Recordings then restores the deeper tone.
DJOKO’s It All Comes to an End precedes Luis Bravo and Daniel De Roma’s Lights On on Secret Jams Records, followed by Sidney Charles’s Onda on Locus. Sam Holland’s Ecology on Too Many Rules gives Velvety Elements a House Music finish.
