DJ Psy Inertia, whose birth name is Sai Subramanian, is recognised as one of India’s most experienced DJs. He developed his skills at Spin DJ Academy and has held residencies at Tavern, Brighton, Lush, HQ, Purple Haze and Vie Lounge.

Psy Inertia draws inspiration from Massive Attack, Cristian Paduraru, MJ, Talvin Singh, Greg Kobe, Zeb, Orion Prophecy, Snap, Digital Mess and Dave Clarke. Skream, Morcheeba, Christian Hornbostel, Frankie Knuckles, Sven Vath, Kitaro and others also inform the breadth of his musical repertoire.
In the year before this article was published, he received recognition from listeners and industry figures around the world. That response led to work with Visiomind Records in Vienna and prospective collaborations with Mechanic and Tropic Records in Mexico City on a Deep House and Progressive track.

Citizen Kain and Rafael Cerato’s Sonate on Suara is followed by Fabrication’s Dustpig on Recovery Collective, keeping the middle section focused and percussive. Space Motion’s Human Tears on Timeless Moment and Max Freegrant with Slow Fish’s extended mix of L’amour on Freegrant Music add melodic detail alongside a renewed Progressive House emphasis.

Kadhem’s Chimera on Three Hands Records, SKALA’s Flimmer on Beyond Now and Cript Rawquit’s Country Street on Re-Newest Enter Records extend that atmosphere through the next run of selections.
DIGBAKER and Blackhaotty’s Don’t Fuck My Vibe on Deepmode Records restores the Progressive House thread before WO-CORE’s Turned Foot on Awen Records changes the texture again. Boris Brejcha’s The Awakening on Ultra and CIOZ with Sam Shure’s Kamala Bani on Stil Vor Talent give the later section a firmer melodic-techno focus.
Agoria and Blase’s Solumon remix of You’re Not Alone precedes Different Age’s Bloody Lines on Ritual, bringing an Indie Dance turn to the programme. Leo Lippolis’ Vucciria on Ole Black, Monolink’s Artbat remix of Return To Oz on Embassy One, Dezza and Schmid’s Milkwish extended mix of Carry Me, Paul Thomas and Mr. V’s How Deep Can You Go on Zerothree and Christian Monique’s Scream Of Pain on BOX4JOY close the set with melodic and progressive electronic music.
