Hersiaz Hazi presents Spectacular episode 3 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Spectacular is a solo project by Hersiaz Hazi, whose real name is Hasi Shamalka Silva, a Sri Lankan-born artist from the capital city of Colombo. His interest in electronic music began during his teenage years, when he started exploring its different genres.
His career began with experimentation using Virtual DJ and FL Studio, as it does for many disc jockeys, in his bedroom. As his interest in electronic music grew, he began to focus on Progressive House, which has a significant following in Sri Lanka.
He has built a presence within Colombo's underground community by performing at events across the island. This artist also plays a monthly podcast on Progressive Heaven in the United Kingdom.
The programme opens with Replicinath and Dark Soul Project's Sumeria, before Zoeken's Aleph on Onestar Records establishes a Progressive House direction. Cream (PL) and Deep Fog's Gravity, Rafeal Cerato and Mia Mendi's Abrubt, and Breat Rubin's BEAY extend the opening selection.
Stereo Underground's Space Fields on Lost & Found brings Melodic House and Techno into the set. Eze Ramirez's I Feel the Distance on Sudbeat Music follows with Peak Time Techno energy.
Xiasou and Hernán Torres's Juan Ibnez remix of Diagram on Another Life Music returns to Progressive House. Soulmade (AR)'s Separate Ways and Joaco Salerno's Agustin Ficarra and Poli Sifui remix of Bayron, both on Droid 9, keep that focus in place.
Navar's Drop the Facade on EDGE introduces Organic House before East Cafe's Without Legacy on Superordinate Music restores the Progressive House thread. LADS's Alex O`Rion remix of Vorfrede and Ricken's Deep sit between these later selections.
Kamilo Sanclemente's Together on Blue Soho Recordings leads into EMPHI's Stockholm Syndrome on Deepvibe Underground. Mattias Herrera's Juan Ibnez remix of Elephants on Future Avenue adds another Progressive House passage.
KYTTO's Alan Cerra remix of Sweet Escape on Dopamine White precedes Fabri Lopez's Juan Ibnez remix of Dubbel on Massvie Harmony Records. Paul Hamilton and Anartist's Julain Nates remix of Dialo on Movement Records closes the programme with the same Progressive House emphasis.
