Gerard presents episode 050 of The Hit List on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a DJ and producer from Florida in the United States whose work spans Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House and Techno. His productions and DJ sets have established him within house and electronic music.
He began as part of DeviceRATT with F.L.I. Records, where his interest in electronic music developed into a lasting commitment to the genre. That period helped define his path as a DJ, playing rhythm-led sets for underground audiences.
Gerard performed across South Florida’s underground scene, including at Treehouse and Nocturnal. His local profile grew through positive reviews, sold-out shows and an expanding audience.
In 2014, Gerard released his debut with Aerotek Records and built a place for himself in electronic music. Further releases with labels including Pure Pitch and LTHM strengthened his profile.
Gerard also worked beyond the United States, securing a string of residencies at venues across East Asia. By laying down beats for those audiences, he extended the recognition he had earned in his home scene.
After building a following at venues, Gerard became an established figure on China’s music scene. When the pandemic struck, he moved back to America and was unable to pursue his work in the Far East.
Since returning to the United States, Gerard has continued to wield his craft for audiences. His growing fan base and international reach underline the mark he has made on the electronic music scene.
Gerard's The Hit List 050 episode opens in Progressive House with Movement Machina’s Cartel (Chook Remix) on Mango Alley. Weird Sounding Dude’s Purple Sky follows on LAIKA Sounds before Simply City’s Full Circle brings Sudbeat Music into the opening run.
Andrea Cassino and Greenage’s Losing Part of Me in Dmitry Molosh’s remix arrives via Proton Music, followed by Nasser Tawfik’s Cyclone on Kitchen Recordings. Sonic Union and Alfonso Muchacho’s The Vision on Lowbit then leads to Airwave’s Flying Paper Planes, remixed by Rick Pier O’Neil for Bonzai Progressive.
Matik (AR) supplies Dark Matter on LifeArt as the programme moves into a darker stretch. Golan Zocher and Eric Lune’s North to South in Kobana’s remix on Proton Music precedes Namatjira’s Monoloog from MNL.
Mark Youssef and Novikoff’s People Around You, remixed by Michael a for Opendecks Records, adds another detailed melodic passage. Fractal Architect’s Robert Mason remix of Carrara on MNL sits before Neal Porter and Fabs#’s Moonbootica remix of Clockwise for Moonbootique.
Paul Hazendonk’s XOS receives Kamilo Sanclemente’s treatment on Manual Music, extending the set’s measured progression. Niceshot’s Multicolor Room on MNL is followed later by Tantum’s Chicola Mamba Out remix of Vor Augen on Lost & Found.
The Sickbeat’s Oxycon on Trippy Code VA provides the final Progressive House selection before the closing change of pace. Ben Böhmer’s Purple Line on KELLER closes with Peak Time Techno energy.
