Gerard presents The Hit List 036 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, music-news platform and DJ agency connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a disc jockey and producer from Angeles City in the United States, with a strong interest in production and electronic music. He works across House music styles and aims to broaden their appeal for listeners.
Gerard relocated to Florida in the United States after spending a long period in South East Asia. He is an artist on Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency roster and held club residencies in China before relocating to the United States when the pandemic struck.
He also held a management role with Brasbeat, described as Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music. Gerard hosts a regular podcast and mix show featuring music from his charts for his followers.
Chris Stussy opens the programme with Evening Drive on PIV, establishing a Deep House foundation before Gruuve's Krush on MUSE brings in Tech House. IDA fLO and Francesco Poggi follow with Sunshine Feat. IDA FLO on Go Deeva Records, while Laroz's Under Your Skin Feat. Sheera on Diynamic moves towards Melodic House and Techno.
Havoc & Lawn's Give It Up feat. Jinadu on Defected brings House Music into the sequence, followed by Dom Dolla's Take It on Sweat It Out. Lee Curtiss and Steingold's Talk on Visionquest returns to Deep House, before &ME's Garden on Keinemusik restores the melodic direction.
Fog and Olufemi's Owere on Yoruba Records introduces Afro House to the set. Harry Romero's It's You on Crosstown Rebels then returns to House Music, leading into Goncalo's Sergio Bennett remix of Luv Story on Yet Records.
Gorge's Be Yourself on Variety Music gives the middle stretch another Tech House cut, while The Downtown Brothers' Supernova remix of My Back Door on Downtown Underground returns to House Music. HOSH and 1979's Midnight, featuring Jalja and released through fryhide, keeps the melodic emphasis in place.
EdOne's Alican remix of Madness Dose on Selador is followed by Joeski's Traicion on Maya Records, placing Melodic House and Techno alongside House Music. Kanpai's Four on Variety Music carries that melodic approach into the later selections.
OFFAIAH's Moon Rocket remix of Private Show and Chris Lake's I Remember appear before OFFAIAH and BACATME's What I Grew Up On on Armada Subjekt adds Bass House. Carebears' Imagine Nation and Kora's Nous close the playlist with two further selections that ease the programme towards its finish.
