Gerard, also known as Tim Jones of DeviceRATT, presents The Hit List 23 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard, who appears in the second hour, is a disc jockey and producer from Angeles City in the United States with a strong interest in production and electronic music. He aims to broaden the appeal of the various House music genres he produces.
At the time of publication, Gerard had recently relocated to China and was an artist on Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency. He had secured club residencies in China and expected to perform regularly around Asia during the coming year.
He also held a management role with Brasbeat, Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music. Gerard hosts a regular podcast and mix show featuring the music charted for his followers.
Gerard's The Hit List 23 episode opens with Jonas Saalbach's Makena on Radikon and Eli & Fur's John Monkman Extended Mix of You And I for Anjunadeep. These selections establish a Melodic House and Techno direction from the outset.
Sandrino & Frankey's Mercury follows on Innervisions before Eric Sharp and Zhao's Pandhora Remix of Monday Blues arrives via HMWL. The latter introduces Deep House into the programme's early passage.
Alex Kennon's Dimension on Circus Recordings brings in Tech House, before Gabbo's Arrivals from Big Mamas House Compilations raises the intensity. That move leads to the set's first Peak Time Techno selection.
Marc DePulse's Animal Trainer Remix of Think Twice on Sincopat returns to melodic detail, while Oscar L's Unique on Truesoul keeps the firmer techno edge in place. Andrae's Bedran. Remix of Gimme, released through Great Stuff Recordings, then brings Tech House back into the sequence.
Beckers and D-Nox follow with Surrender on Selador, and Fideles contribute The Secret Of Eos through Impressum. EarthLife's La Verità Del Tempo on Oddity Records extends the melodic thread without breaking the set's club-focused pace.
EXIT 11's Night Of The Jaguar on Glasgow Underground, Fur Coat's Ethereal for Systematic Recordings and LADS' Matchy Remix of Eli on Rebellion der Träumer carry the later stretch forward. Oliver Koletzki and Monolink's We Are All Lost on Stil vor Talent, OC & Verde's The Cloak on Truesoul and Saison's Moments for Large Music bring the programme to a close with a return to Deep House.
