Gerard, also known as Tim Jones of DeviceRATT, presents episode 20 of his weekly show The Hit List on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard, who plays the first hour, is a producer and DJ from Angeles City in the United States with an undeniable admiration for electronic music and a quirky style of production. He aims to become a main player in the House music scene through his DJing and production work.
At the time of publication, Gerard lived in China, was an artist on Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency, and had gained a residency at Wonderland Club in China. He expected to perform regularly across South East Asia during the following year.
He also held a management role with Brasbeat, Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music. Gerard hosts a regular podcast/mix show featuring his charted music for his followers.
The Hit List 20 opens with Eduardo Oliveira's Intensely Always on STIG, introducing Deep Tech House before Dario D'Attis brings Tek Jazz from Toolroom into Deep House territory. IERRP's Bereft, also released through STIG, returns to the deeper tech-house emphasis.
Lauhaus and Mario Franca follow with Audience on Oh! Records Stockholm, bringing Organic House into the first section. Dusky's Careless on Aus Music, Gorge and Oliver Schories' Goliath on Pracht, and Erdi Irmak's Zura on Variety Music keep the selection moving between deep and organic house styles.
Armen Miran's Volen Sentir Sunset Mix of Reborn on Hoomidaas extends the organic-house thread before Freddie Frampton's Shine on Knee Deep In Sound introduces Melodic House and Techno. Khen's Terroir on TRYBESof and Laroz and Yost Koen's Affektion on Eleatics Records develop the more melodic direction.
Budakid's Armen Miran Remix of Sky Mirage on Plaisirs Sonores Records briefly returns to organic house, while Rudra's Positive on STIG brings back Deep Tech House. Atjazz and Jullian Gomes' Jimpster Remix of It's My Time on Atjazz Record Company, followed by Buraq's Care on Sublease Music, settles into Deep House.
GHEIST's dub version of Disclose Yours on Watergate Records turns the programme towards melodic house and techno. Sandy Rivera and Rae's Chicola Extended Remix of Hide U on DFTD sustains that mood with a longer club-focused arrangement.
Quivver's Ten, released as a Club Mix on Bedrock Records, carries the melodic house and techno focus into the final stretch. Evans closes the set with The Art Of Noise, also on Bedrock Records, giving the programme a measured electronic finish.
