DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with episode 29 of his 2026 radio series on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco has developed an adaptable style spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and understanding of club audiences have established him as an experienced figure within underground electronic music across Europe and Asia.
Marco began DJing in Turin during the early 1990s as Italy’s underground club scene was expanding rapidly. Through his involvement with the Urban People collective, he helped organise events and became closely connected with the city’s growing electronic music community.
His developing reputation later led to a residency with Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. That opportunity became an important stage in his international career and opened the way for further bookings outside Italy.
Over the years, Marco has performed at clubs and venues across Europe and Asia, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances strengthened his experience of different club cultures while allowing his sets to respond to the character of each dancefloor.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together they have developed a catalogue of more than fifty original productions and remixes covering a wide range of club-focused and melodic electronic music.
Their releases have appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The partnership combines Marco’s understanding of dancefloor structure and programming with Stefano’s musical training and studio experience.
That balance allows Bicycle Corporation to shift between rhythm-led material and more melodic productions without losing the underground character of the project. Their work reflects the wide musical interests both artists have developed throughout their careers rather than concentrating on a single formula.
Marco continues to share new music, radio episodes and production activity through his Facebook page. His selections connect earlier influences with contemporary club material while retaining the identity developed through decades of DJing.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains closely connected with electronic music activity across Asia through clubs, radio and regional collaborations. His position in the region allows him to combine an extensive European background with direct experience of club cultures and artist communities across Asia.
He is represented for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency, while his weekly series continues through the Scientific Sound Asia radio station. Episode 29 continues that long-running format with another selection shaped by Marco’s extensive experience as a DJ, producer and international performer.
DJ Marco Mei opens Episode 29 with DJ Mike and Alex Caro with Sote De Lino, setting up a bright Funky House groove before DJ Vou and Art Of Tones broaden the palette. Gledd’s remix of “Urdaone” adds a Nu Disco edge, giving the opening stretch a clear disco-informed character without losing its club focus.
Megatronic with Fawziyya Heart, Pad Beryll with Andrea Love and Plaisance keep the middle of the first section firmly rooted in House Music. Rago and Rea, followed by Stuart Ojelay’s bootleg of Tori Amos, continue the vocal and groove-led thread before the set shifts deeper.
Traumer with Andrew Azara and Max Dean bring in a warmer Deep House feel, while Franky Rizardo’s Yusca edit remains unclassified because the supplied source gives no genre. B.M.R. with Felicia then adds a Classic House touch before Tuccillo keeps the deeper pulse intact.
AndThen, Kristin Velvet, Piem and Tatan Bilbao return the mix to a straighter house drive through the centre of the set. Di Saronno with Kenny Summit then inject another funky-house lift, followed by George Cynnamon and Honey Dijon with Jacob Lusk keeping the dancefloor emphasis strong.
Hilit Kolet and Jewel Kid maintain the late-set pressure before Kerri Chandler and Josh Butler bring “Can’t Deny” into a more refined house groove through THEOS’ extended remix. Lady Plus with Discotexx close the session on a classic vocal-house note, rounding off a set that balances Funky House, House Music, Deep House, Nu Disco and Classic House with a warm, club-focused flow.
