DJ Gerard presents The Hit List episode 02 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
DJ Gerard, also known as Tim Jones of DeviceRATT, is a Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House, and Techno producer and DJ whose work centres on electronic music. He brings a distinctive approach to production and a clear enthusiasm for the music.
His independent approach informs projects with other industry figures and his own productions. Gerard cites John Digweed, Sebastian Leger, Thomas Schumacher, Dubfire, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Nora En Pure, Adriatique, Tom Demac, DJ Dan and DJ Foxx among his inspirations.
In 2019, Gerard had relocated to China and was working with our DJ agency, Scientific Sound Asia. At that time, he was preparing to perform in China, worked as a Nu-Disco manager for Brasbeat, Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music, and hosted a regular podcast and mix show featuring his monthly charted music.
The episode included new music such as Pavzo's Breather (Plus Beat'Z Remix), which marked the Toronto-based producer's debut on KLUBINHO Records. Built around a firm beat and bass rhythms, the track brings a direct dancefloor focus to the programme.
Saad Ska's Free Kit, from the Endorphins EP on LTHM Records, brings an authentic house flavour, rhythm and feel, while Mr. Bremson's Mundo, from the Work EP, also appears on LTHM Records. GIORG, a Greek artist based in Stuttgart, contributes Kondi from the first Only One EP on KLUBINHO Records, a peak-hour selection with percussion and warm bass.
DJ Gerard's The Hit List episode 02 opens with Detlef and Ossey James's Swagon feat. Ossey James on Repopulate Mars, placing Tech House beside Forteba's Pictograms on Plastic City. Mark Macklure and Bellatriz's Watching The Stars follows before Alexander Aurel's Fall in Love on Voltaire Music returns to the tougher club pressure.
Pavzo's Breather (Plus Beat'Z Remix) on KLUBINHO keeps the opening direct, before Paul Bart's No One Else on MNSTRY introduces Deep House into the sequence. Amine Edge & DANCE's Lost then bridges towards the next run of selections without interrupting the set's club-focused pace.
Saad Ska's Free Kit on LTHM brings in House Music, followed by Mr. Bremson's Mundo on the same label and Stefano Noferini's Repeat on Terminal M. GIORG's Kondi sits between those records and Fugere's Walk (Zerky Remix) on Bambole Records, which shifts the programme back towards deeper territory.
Gabe and Rocksted's Chemical Spill on Zero Eleven Music sharpens the rhythm before Bizen Lopez's Suburbia on Suruba X brings Deep Tech House into focus. Dennis Cruz's Mad on Stereo Productions Catalog follows with a more forceful Tech House cut.
ALX's Feel Em appears before Patrice Baumel and Audiofly's Atacama on Crosstown Rebels, which introduces Melodic House and Techno. Frink's Nordico on What Happens then eases the selection back into Deep House.
Steve Bug and Cle's It's Time on Poker Flat Recordings sets up Nakul C's Voices of the Circle on TRAUM TECHNO GERMANY. Oxia's Domino (Frankey & Sandrino Remix) closes the listing with another deep house record, leaving the programme in a measured late-night register.
