Coh-hul presents Play It Loud episode 27 with guests Gettoblaster on Scientific Sound Asia, continuing his monthly focus on Tech House, Tech Funk and label-driven electronic music. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
Coh-hul is a DJ and producer based in Ho Chi Minh City whose sound centres on Tech Funk and Tech House. His productions and DJ sets are characterised by heavy basslines, tribal percussion and groove-led sci-fi elements that give his music a distinctive club-focused edge.
His wider musical activity can be explored through SoundCloud, where his sets and production work reflect the same emphasis on bass weight, rhythm and playful electronic detail. Labels including Dirtybird and Relief have been important influences on the direction he has developed behind the decks and in the studio.
Coh-hul has become an established presence within Vietnam's electronic music scene, including residencies and regular appearances at clubs in Ho Chi Minh City. One of his most memorable performances took place at Le Chapiteau in Marseille, where he played to a sold-out venue during a show he has described as one of the strongest sets of his career.
His monthly Play It Loud programme gives him a dedicated space to present new Tech House and Tech Funk alongside music from labels that have influenced his work. Each edition begins with current selections before moving into a more concentrated label showcase during the latter part of the programme.
Outside radio, Coh-hul has also developed Seshnikov, a YouTube series centred on music production. The project combines production techniques with previews of new ideas and works in progress, giving listeners another view of the creative process behind his releases.
His music is also available through platforms including Beatport, Spotify and Bandcamp. Production remains an important part of his current activity as he continues developing original material intended for clubs and dancefloors.
The previous edition of Play It Loud concentrated on Whistle Records, presenting a selection of music from the label alongside Coh-hul's own current favourites. Episode 27 continues the same format, combining fresh Tech House and Tech Funk with a deeper look at the labels and producers influencing his sound.

This month’s edition of Play It Loud is a special one, with Gettoblaster taking over the second half of the programme for the show’s first-ever guest mix. The duo, made up of Paul Anthony and Zach Bletz, are known for a G-House-driven sound built around heavy basslines, funk-influenced drums and crisp club percussion.
Their productions are designed for direct dancefloor impact, combining stripped-back grooves with low-end pressure and a raw House sensibility. That approach has helped Gettoblaster build a substantial catalogue across some of the most recognisable labels in contemporary underground club music.
Their releases have appeared through Dirtybird, Basement Leak, Box Of Cats, Black Book, Repopulate Mars, Too Many Rules, Holy Mole, Defected, Desert Hearts, Bunkaball, Strangelove, Psycho Disco and numerous other imprints. They also run their own label, Aliens On Mushrooms, giving them another outlet for music connected with their particular take on G-House and groove-led electronic music.
Gettoblaster’s catalogue makes them a natural fit for Play It Loud, particularly given Coh-hul’s long-standing interest in Dirtybird, Tech House, Tech Funk and bass-heavy club music. Their guest mix brings that influence directly into the programme while also marking an important first for the series.
Before the takeover, Coh-hul works through a selection of his favourite new records from the month. The first half also includes a blast from the past, connecting current releases with some of the older music that continues to influence the direction of the show.
The second half is handed entirely to Gettoblaster, allowing Paul Anthony and Zach Bletz to present their own approach without being restricted to the usual label-focus format. With funk-driven rhythms, heavy low frequencies and uncompromising club energy at the centre, the guest mix gives Play It Loud episode 27 a different structure from previous editions.
Coh-hul opens the first hour of Play It Loud 27 away from the tougher material that dominates later, using Ken@work and Hotmood to bring disco-rooted grooves into the programme before Foo Funkers and Cultura introduce Afro House with “Aida ‘Back To Africa’”. The Barry&Gibbs edit of Pasteur Lappe’s “Na Real Sekele Fo Ya” keeps that funkier African influence in play, drawing on a track whose original sits firmly within Afro-disco and funk traditions.
Coh-hul’s own “Slick Rick” then signals the move towards his familiar club territory, followed by Deetron’s “Come On Back” and the Star B remix of Bob Sinclar’s “I Feel For You” as House Music takes over. Lubelski’s “Scatter Drill” briefly returns to Afro-house percussion before Gettoblaster and Miguel Bastida push the mix towards the heavier basslines and clipped rhythms of Tech House.
Diplo and Melé’s “Right 2 Left” brings Busta Rhymes into a percussion-heavy house framework before Classmatic’s “Toma Dale” restores a more straightforward tech-house drive, while Catz ’n Dogz change direction with the psychedelic electronics of “Now” and its Indie Dance classification. Arnold & Lane, Javi Zearra, Jackin Trax with Don Rimini, Lucati and Dillon Marinez then form a concentrated late run of underground club records, bringing the first hour firmly into the Tech House and Tech Funk territory at the heart of Play It Loud.
Jay Gunning’s “Got 2 Have Ur Love” leads into Armand Van Helden’s “NYC Beat”, ending Coh-hul’s section with a direct connection to classic house before Gettoblaster takes control for the second hour. No guest tracklist is available, so the Gettoblaster mix remains undocumented rather than being reconstructed from assumptions, while the known first hour provides a clear progression from disco and Afro-influenced grooves into house, tech house and bass-heavy club music.
