Bicycle Corporation has announced guest DJ Devious Pink for their Foundations show. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station and DJ agency serving the Asian region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of DJ and producer, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884. The pair have amassed over 50 releases across genres such as Techno, Deep House, House, Melodic, and French House.
Marco began his career in the early nineties by working as a crew for events like ‘Urban People.’ With time he gained recognition on the music scene and steadily became a man in demand all across Italy. But then things didn’t stop there, after so much success in his native land Marco was soon getting international bookings across the globe.
Stefano, from Torino, Italy was showing promise as a budding musician right from his childhood. He showed a keen interest in the musical arts which soon began to engulf most of his spare time. He studied classical piano, percussion and drums and greatly appreciated ‘Chopin’s and ‘West African Djembe.’
But with all his devotion to so many different kinds of music, there was one thing Stefano had a love for that was like none other, The man spinning the wheels, the DJ became most enticing for the teenaged Stefano. Those beats were seldom played on any Italian radio station of that time.
Making those sounds let alone playing them before masses of people would seem like a pipe dream to most. But Stefano would not be deterred, he had a vision which he would now see through to the end and with hard work, dedication and sheer tenacity, Bicycle Corporation came to be.
Despite their success today, Marco and Stefan have not forgotten their humble beginnings. They’ve recently been going back over some of their earlier tracks and even set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them.

This week's guest DJ is Devious Pink, hailing from Scotland, Devious Pink dedicates her days to building an impressive music library. A music aficionado since her younger days, she would devour and collect anything from the early days of Jazz and Funk, Motown, Italo Disco and Electronica, all the way to today’s House and Techno.
With a predilection towards rhythmic energies, her sets are focused towards Tech House and Techno and a dash of Drum and Bass whenever the opportunity presents itself. Working in an environment comprised of Techno radio heads, having performed on and managed various House Music radio stations - Essential Clubbers and Beats Per Minute Radio, provided her with the versatility of playing various vibes to various audiences around the world.
This low-profile path she has chosen allows music and ultimately today’s episode of Foundations for Sweatbox Records to speak for itself. Artists like Ricardo Villalobos, and the Chicago mastermind Gene Farris are some of Devious Pink’s current influences.
Scotland’s penchant for harder sounds and Devious Pink’s somewhat unusual taste for the local market still made room for her to play within the local club and festival circuit. She has recently started her own radio station and hopes to branch out in the coming year.
