Bicycle Corporation announced DJ Biscuit as the guest for their Foundations show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is the Italian collaboration between DJ and producer Marco MEI and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Marco began his musical career as a DJ and producer in the early 1990s, when he worked with the Urban People crew on events across Italy.
His work with Urban People earned recognition and led to a residency at Pacha, followed by international DJ bookings. Those experiences took Marco's work to audiences around the world and formed an important part of his development as a DJ and producer.
Born and raised in Torino, Italy, Stefano showed an early aptitude for music and studied classical piano, percussion and drums with dedication. He drew inspiration from Chopin and West African djembe, while the sight of DJs working a crowd increasingly captivated him as a teenager.
The electronic beats rarely heard on Italian radio during the 1990s prompted Stefano to consider a different musical path, which later developed into Bicycle Corporation. The duo released a Hard Techno remix of Virus D.D.Ds' track Origination, which was featured in Beatport staff picks.

This week’s guest is DJ Biscuit, whose real name is Daniela Horeanga, a Romanian-born PR professional, event organiser and DJ based in Malaysia. She began her career as a journalist in Romania before moving into communications and public relations, eventually relocating to Malaysia where her involvement in electronic music developed into a wider professional focus.
Daniela began organising events in the Philippines and Thailand while working to support electronic music communities across the region. Her activities expanded from radio programming and club nights into concepts designed to discover new talent, encourage collaboration and strengthen local scenes.
Her musical background was shaped by electronic music, pop-rock and new wave, with Depeche Mode forming an important early influence. These interests later became part of the foundation for her work as a promoter, label owner and DJ.
Daniela is the founder of Art Xtreme Media, an events and creative company established in Malaysia. Through the company, she has developed and hosted a range of nightlife concepts across Kuala Lumpur.
Art Xtreme Media founded the weekly party The Sweatbox, the monthly Taboo events and Questionmark Wednesdays at The Iron Fairies KL. These nights created regular platforms for DJs, producers and people working within the local music industry.
Her work in Malaysia has led to collaborations with international artists, producers, publications, radio stations, clubs and event spaces. She has also participated in regional exchange projects involving Thailand and Indonesia with promoters including Techno Sake, Panorasuna and Enter The Void.
In 2018, Art Xtreme Media expanded into recorded music with the launch of Sweatbox Records. The label was created as a platform for local and international producers whose music matched the deeper electronic direction associated with The Sweatbox events.
One of its first major projects was the compilation From Sunset To Sunrise Vol. 1, bringing together 25 artists across 21 tracks. The release was designed around the musical character of the label’s club nights, moving through energetic and deeper electronic styles.
Sweatbox Records was developed in collaboration with UK production duo My Digital Enemy, later known as MDE, who were also associated with the Vudu and Zulu labels. While those labels focused more heavily on bass-driven electronic music, Sweatbox Records concentrated on deeper and more technical club sounds.
The label also provided an outlet for producers emerging from Malaysia’s local scene. Daniela’s aim was to give these artists greater international visibility while building a recognisable platform around the music being developed within the region.
Her involvement behind the scenes eventually led her to begin DJing herself, and DJ Biscuit emerged in 2017. Moving behind the decks gave Daniela another way to communicate the musical ideas she had previously expressed through events, programming and promotion.
In 2018, she hosted Biscuit + Friends every Wednesday at Elysium KL, focusing on deeper House music and regular back-to-back sessions with local and international DJs. The series became another extension of her work connecting performers, venues and audiences within Kuala Lumpur.
Biscuit’s DJ sets move between deeper grooves, minimal-influenced House and heavier Techno. Drum and Bass also remains an important influence within her wider musical background.
She has shared line-ups with artists including Saab, Subb-An and Guti and has performed in locations ranging from Indonesia and Romania to Ibiza. These appearances have allowed her to develop an international profile while maintaining close ties with Southeast Asia’s underground electronic music network.
The expansion continued with the launch of Sweatbox Thailand, extending the project beyond Malaysia and creating additional opportunities for regional DJs and producers. The initiative strengthened links between electronic music communities in both countries while maintaining the broader identity established through The Sweatbox.
Daniela has also worked on larger projects involving festival stages and bigger event productions. Her continued activity across promotion, DJing, label management and regional collaboration places her at the centre of several interconnected areas of Southeast Asia’s underground electronic music scene.
DJ Biscuit’s guest appearance brings together the experience she has developed as a promoter, label founder and selector. Her set offers a direct representation of the deeper House, minimal and Techno influences that have shaped her work across Malaysia and the wider region.
DJ Biscuit opens Foundations Episode 2 with Lauhaus and Mario Franca before Alvaro Hylander’s “Feels Right” receives a Satoshi Fumi remix rooted in Deep House. Kirwan, Lucciano and Stanny Abram follow as the programme begins moving towards the tighter, groove-led house sound that dominates much of the set.
Roberto Contessi precedes Ben Rau and Jansons’ “The Player,” a clear Tech House reference from Knee Deep In Sound. Arche, Sakdat and Balaur, and Livio & Roby keep the selection focused on stripped-back club rhythms before the unidentified “Supernova Powder” introduces the middle section.
Mateo Bermejo and Jorge Mattos lead into Otherkind’s “Stop,” followed by Riccardo Ricci with Max Lane and Stefano Rossetti with Michele Arcieri. Stanny Abram then returns with “Conclusion” before Arche’s second appearance, keeping the episode closely tied to contemporary underground house production.
Brown Vox precedes Grasso & Maxim with Hassio on “Bar Boutique Paris,” another confirmed tech-house release, before Kassier with Lucas Rotela and Valen Carta continue the same broad direction. Agus Pazos, Brad Shu and Danil Gurov then carry the set towards its final run without departing significantly from the house and deep-tech framework.
DYI Mob and Jous Rick precede Mateo Bermejo’s second appearance with “Ladies And Gentlemen,” followed by Sauvage Back and Stef Davidse. Across Foundations Episode 2, tech house provides the clearest overall identity, supported by Deep Tech House, deep house and a smaller amount of straight House Music.
