DJ Marco Mei presents his 14 November 2020 weekly radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
With nearly three decades of experience, Marco is an Italian DJ and producer whose early musical interests included Afrobeat, Reggae, Funk, Disco, early Hip Hop and electronic music. In the early 1990s, he began DJing at venues across Italy, developing his approach through festivals and clubs around the world.
His international appearances have included sharing bills with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg. A residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh during the early 2000s marked an important stage in his career.
Marco subsequently toured internationally, playing venues including OBS in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, CE' LA VI in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, Woobar in Bali and Global Dance Moscow. He moved to Taipei, Taiwan, in the early 2010s and regularly performed at clubs and venues across the city.
In 2009, Marco joined Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form the production duo Bicycle Corporation. Their studio work has produced more than 50 tracks and remixes, which received recognition from prominent artists in the House Music scene.
Marco’s weekly selections include Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. Based in Taipei, he works within a wider South East Asian network of clubs, events and electronic music activity.
He is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency. His weekly show is broadcast through the Scientific Sound Asia radio station.

Jerome Sydenham, Fatima Njai and Katsuya Sano then appear on Blackjack In The Dollhouse, ahead of Digitalism’s Reality 2 on Running Back. DJ Hell’s Out Of Control on The Dj Hell Experience introduces Indie Dance, while Alexny featuring Fatback Band brings I’ll Tell You When on Laguna Records back towards Nu-Disco.
Boy Funktastic’s Oscurito on Far Down Records brings Organic House into the selection. Boots & Kats’ Seratona on House Of Disco Records and Digitalism’s Promises on Running Back sustain the Indie Dance section before Mercer’s Lemonade in The Magician Italo ’85’ remix adds another retro-minded club moment.
Space Manoeuvres’ Stage One in the Shan remix on Hooj Choons shifts the programme towards Progressive House. Patrick Cowley’s Megatron Man follows on UNIDISC MUSIC INC., before Michael Gray featuring Kelli Sae presents Macarthur Park in the Michael Gray Classic Mix.
Enøs’ Eternal Roamer in Yubik’s 4 Am Resurrection leads into Siege’s Deep Down, a Tech House cut. Maur’s Set You Free featuring Faber on Sola, Catz N Dogz and Gerd Janson’s Modern Romance on Misfit Melodies, and Sam Holland’s Disco Dancer on Knee Deep In Sound close the episode with a house-centred finish.
