DJ Marco Mei presents his 2020 episode 39 radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Marco is an Italian DJ and producer with close to thirty years of experience. In his younger years, he developed a strong interest in Afrobeat, Reggae, Funk, Disco, early Hip Hop and the emergence of electronic music.
He began his career as a DJ in the early 1990s and performed at venues throughout Italy during his formative years. Regular appearances at festivals and clubs around the world helped him develop his skills and reach new audiences.
Those appearances included opportunities to perform alongside Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg. The experience placed Marco in contact with established figures from several strands of electronic dance music.
In the early 2000s, he held a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh before touring internationally. His subsequent appearances included OBS in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, CE' LA VI in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, Woobar in Bali and Global Dance Moscow.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The production duo have released more than 50 tracks and remixes since their formation.
Their releases received support in the house music scene from a range of recognised artists. Marco relocated to Taipei, Taiwan, in the early 2010s and frequently performed at clubs and venues across the city.
Based in Taipei, Marco works across a wider South East Asian network and is available for bookings through our DJ Agency, while broadcasting a weekly programme. His selections span deep and tech house, Afro and melodic techno, Nu-Disco, indie dance, electronica and techno.

Andy Bach follows with Into The Disco on Nothing But, bringing Funky House into the early run before Noizu’s Summer 91 (Looking Back) on Techne introduces House Music.
Fred Falke and Zen Freeman’s Underground on Astrx shifts the sequence towards Indie Dance. Casual Connection and Jack Burton’s We Want The Funk on M2MR then brings in Nu-Disco, followed by Jepe’s Restless Soul on Aeon and Umvral’s Ravedisco on Emerald & Doreen Records.
Master Plan’s Enzo Elia Vocal Edit of Electric Baile on Running Back precedes Maur featuring Faber’s Set You Free on Sola. Mr. & Mrs. Smith keep the central section firmly club-focused with Get Loose on Champion Records, while Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs add Heartbreak on Outlier.
Daniel Bortz’s You Can Stay Forever on Permanent Vacation brings the programme into Deep House. Trio Ternura’s A Gira in the Hoochie Coochie Papa Italodisco Re-edit on Golden Soul Records leads into Butch’s Drummers Drama on Rekids.
Pauza featuring Golpes Libres add Cuero on Get Physical Music, before Reznik Mikesh’s Adam Port Remix of It’s Not You, It’s Me appears on Keinemusik. Red Axes’ Bangalore Rave Version of Little Prince on !K7 Records brings in Organic House, and Octave with Tarek JR follow with the Octave Edit of Ghetto Kraviz on Resonance.
Green Velvet and Layton Giordani’s Life Lesson on Drumcode supplies the show’s Peak Time Techno entry before Richy Ahmed’s Bad Boy on Four Thirty Two returns to house territory. Jabberwocky’s Robotonik on FAIT MAISON and Endure Disco’s Biesmans Remix of Ciao on Exploited set up Steve Lawler’s Jansons Remix of Don’t Ask on Nothing Else Matters, with Atchoum Grincheux featuring Lamont Dozier closing on Going Back To My Groove for Lisztomania Records.
