Anonymous Z presents the 12th Scientific Sound Asia show with guest Deico. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Anonymous Z, who takes the first hour, is mostly known in Saigon, Vietnam, for founding Mad Circus Epic parties. He founded Glassroom, Bahrain's first underground DJ community, where he led a group of misfits from varied backgrounds and organised parties and after-parties, legal or not, remembered locally as legendary.
His motto then was "They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds". After joining the Banana Hustle crew in their punchy tropical frenzy, he participated in developing their unique vibe.
Originally a Techno head, he developed a taste for digging out distinctive tracks across Afro, House, Disco and Funk. He complements this with a special selection of hand-picked Techno and recent Indie Dance.
His selection skills opened the doors to underground venues including Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and Vitamin D after-parties. His non-linear sets are most often improvised, driven by the dance floor and shaped by varied musical styles, tense and groovy basslines, epic storytelling melodies and a playful approach to emotion.
Guest DJ DEico a.k.a Solomon Bosk.
This week's guest DJ, through his collaboration with the Lab Sessions, Anonymous Z discovered another talent. Deico, also known as Solomon Bosk, is the Co-founder and Resident of ??? (aka.000.co).
This is a new alias for a new artistic project oriented toward a more melodic and softer approach to the dance floor. In this set, he is aiming to get the audience to discover another side of DEico.
Anonymous Z opens Not So Anonymous Episode 12 with Tulioxi’s “Tom Tom Collins,” a confirmed Indie Dance release, before DJ Pierre and Mickey Oliver introduce a remix-led connection to earlier club music. Que Sakamoto and NT continue the indie-dance direction with “Lalo,” whose original Roam Recordings release carries the same classification.
Kim and Buran precede Bohannon’s “Bohannon Disco Symphony,” bringing Disco directly into the first hour before Zombies In Miami return to indie dance with “Dance Of Gopis.” Zero Call, Alejandro Molinari and Cornelius Doctor with Tushen Rai extend the darker electronic side of the set, with “Black Gold” also officially filed as indie dance and dark disco.
Deico begins the second hour with Klapto before Johannes Albert’s “Wing House” receives Shan’s indie-dance remix. Dead Or Alive and New Order then bring eighties Synth Pop and electronic influences into the programme before Alden Tyrell’s “Rendez Vous At Rimini” connects that lineage with nu-disco and electro-oriented club production.
Alex Metric and Computer Rockers move the set further into electronic club music before Norwell’s “Secret Transmission” receives Solid Blake’s remix. Soho Jo follows before Mall Grab’s “Looking For Trouble” shifts into Breaks, with its original release officially classified as Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass.
Chris Shape, Viktor Kalima and Locked Club occupy the final section, pushing Deico’s hour towards tougher Electro and techno-related material. Compared with Anonymous Z’s slower indie-dance and disco opening, the second hour relies more heavily on synthesizers, machine rhythms and breakbeat structures.
Across Episode 12, indie dance is the clearest common category, particularly through Tulioxi, Que Sakamoto, Zombies In Miami, Cornelius Doctor and the Shan remix of Johannes Albert. Disco, nu-disco, electro, synth pop and breaks provide the main supporting styles, giving the two-hour programme a broader electronic profile without forcing the later material into conventional house.
