DJ Marco Mei presents his 2020 podcast 28 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Marco is an Italian DJ and producer with nearly thirty years of experience. As a teenager, he became interested in Afrocentric music and the emergence of electronic music, beginning his DJ career in the early 1990s.
During his formative years, he performed throughout Italy, developing his skills at festivals and clubs around the world. His appearances included sets alongside Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.
At the start of the millennium, Marco secured a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm el-Sheikh, which led to a world tour. He performed at OBS in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, CE' LA VI in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, Woobar in Bali and Global Dance Moscow, alongside many other venues and DJs.
In 2009, Marco formed a production duo with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, and Bicycle Corporation was born. Their combined studio work has produced more than 50 tracks and remixes.
Their productions have received support within the electronic music community from notable artists. Marco is based in Taipei, Taiwan, having relocated there at the beginning of the previous decade, and performs at events across the city.
His weekly show covers Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. Marco works across a wider South East Asian network and is available for international bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency, while his weekly programme is broadcast on the station.

Demon Vs Heartbreaker's bootleg version of You Are My High keeps the opening focused on club rhythm.
Secret Weaponz follow with Soy Como Soy Dancin in the Roger Sanchez Secret W. version. F/Theme's Die Mallemeule on Glory Hill Studio brings in Afro House, before Laura O and the Heartbeat Line's Rhythm leads into Louie Vega, the Martinez Brothers and Marc E. Bassy's Let It Go on Defected.
Butch featuring Vanessa Paradis adds Joe Le Taxi, followed by Loods' Hot on Trick. Jackmaster and Jasper James bring Situation into the sequence before Richy Ahmed's Bad Boy on Four Thirty Two and Tiga with Hudson Mohawke's Love Minus Zero on Love Minus Communication strengthen the central club section.
Luke Vibert's Acidhouse Ecstasy on Frendzone provides a further house reference before DJ HMC's Cum On on Reflector introduces Peak Time Techno. Lil' Louis' French Kiss in the Don Rimini In Da House remix on Epic follows, keeping the selection close to established dancefloor material.
Eli Brown's Immortal on Armada Subjekt shifts the pace towards Tech House, while Adam Beyer's No Defeat No Retreat on Drumcode returns to peak-time techno. Moscoman's Eyes Wide Strut in the Tunnelvisions remix gives way to Tunnelvisions' A Thousand and Dust Till Dawn, both on Diynamic, for a Melodic House and Techno passage.
Legroni's Volga and Rodriguez Jr. featuring Liset Alea's What Is Real take the programme into its final stretch. Erik Ellmann closes with Liaison on Poetry in Motion, ending the set with a Deep House selection.
