DJ Marco Mei presents his 2020 episode 26 playlist, dedicated to Bali promoter Cedric Herbaut, who had recently passed away, on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Marco is an Italian DJ and producer whose career began in the early 1990s. As a teenager, he was captivated by Afrocentric music and the emerging electronic music scene.
During his early years, Marco performed throughout Italy before developing his skills at festivals and clubs worldwide. He has shared the stage with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.
At the turn of the millennium, Marco secured a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, which began an international touring period. His appearances included OBS in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, CE' LA VI in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, Woobar in Bali and Global Dance Moscow.
In 2009, Marco and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, formed the production duo Bicycle Corporation. Their work includes more than 50 tracks and remixes across electronic music.
Based in Taipei, Taiwan, since moving there at the start of the previous decade, Marco performs at events across the capital. He is part of the group of DJs and producers featured through Scientific Sound Asia's online radio station.
His weekly show spans Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. Marco is available for international bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency.

Frankie Knuckles, Directors Cut, Eric Kupper and B. Slade bring Get Over U in the Tedd Patterson Remix before Benjamin Diamond's In Your Arms in the Joey Negro Z Mix on Epic establishes the House Music foundation.
Alan Fitzpatrick and Patrice Rushen's Haven't You Heard in the Butch Remix on FFRR leads into John Summit's Deep End on Defected. Joeski then brings Un Congo on Saved Records into Tech House, before Iglesias and Proudly People feature Leah Rose on Trust.
Brokenears returns to House Music with No Man in the Javi Bora Remix on Too Many Rules, while Chris Magg and Riwalk follow with Breaking News on Hang On Music. Luca Morris and Mozzy Rekorder's Gypsy Woman (La-Da-Dee) on Terminal M brings Peak Time Techno, followed by Jones & Stephenson's The First Rebirth in the Reinier Zonneveld Remix on Thunderdome Music and its Hard Dance intensity.
GLOWAL's Antenna on Watergate Records and Mala Ika's Weirdos on Family N.A.M.E move the programme into Indie Dance. Djuma Soundsystem and NenaHalena then bring Nangarin on Stil Vor Talent into Afro House.
Jessy Ware's Save A Kiss in the Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remix changes the later mood before Nearly Unknown Artist's Ill Acid U featuring Jungle Brothers appears. DJ Shadow featuring De La Soul follows with Rocket Fuel in the Ten Ven Remix, and Outtake's Lady Genesis in the Alex Aguayo Remix on N I G H T N O I S E returns to Indie Dance.
Conan Liquid and El-Eye bring How Long featuring Lipps Inc on Crates Motel Records back to House Music, before Crimson's Ninteen90zzz provides the penultimate selection. Dennis Quin featuring Kerri Chandler and Troy Denari closes with Be Strong on Kontor Records, ending a programme that moves from vocal-led club music into tougher electronic forms and back again.
