After Hours 422 features Hypnotised in the opening hour before guest DJ Chathushka takes over for the second part of the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
Originally from Ghent, Belgium, he developed his musical background during a period shaped by events such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno. His early DJing covered a range of styles before his direction gradually settled around deeper Prog House, melodic structures and Techno-influenced rhythms.
That progression became central to his approach behind the decks, with sets built around atmosphere, measured pacing and carefully layered transitions. Rather than remaining fixed to one narrow sound, he developed a style that connects Progressive House with deeper and more technical elements.
Together with fellow Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe, he developed After Hours as a platform for underground Progressive House and related electronic music. The programme combines their own selections with guest appearances from DJs and producers working across the international scene.
He has also appeared through radio platforms including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI.FM, Golden Wings Music Radio and Insomnia FM. These appearances helped extend his reach beyond Belgium while keeping his work closely connected with the wider Progressive House community.
His DJ career has included appearances alongside artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose and Nick Bril. He has also performed at events and venues including Amsterdam Dance Event, Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam and Decadence in Ghent.
In 2015, Hypnotised became closely involved with AH Digital alongside PatriZe and expanded further into production. Their collaboration People from the Otherworld became an early milestone, reaching number four in Beatport’s Progressive House chart while also entering its Techno and Tech House rankings.
The title track from People from the Otherworld was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another established producer to the release. Hypnotised continued building his catalogue through AH Digital alongside releases on Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music and Stellar Fountain.
His Infinity EP became another notable release, reaching number two in Beatport’s Progressive House and Trance charts and number three in its Techno ranking. The result reflected the overlap between the melodic, progressive and more driving elements present throughout his production work.
He also produces under the Man on the Moon alias, giving him another outlet for atmospheric and melodic electronic music. The project began with Sense on Bonzai Progressive, which received support and airplay through Belgium’s Studio Brussel.
AH Digital remains an important part of Hypnotised’s work as both producer and label manager, connecting his studio activity with a wider network of Progressive House DJs. That relationship also gives After Hours a direct link with producers whose music fits naturally within the programme’s deeper and more melodic direction.

Guest DJ (second hour) Chathushka.
This edition’s second-hour guest is Chathushka, a Sri Lankan DJ whose musical direction is centred on Progressive House. His interest in music developed from an early age and gradually led him towards the deeper and more underground side of electronic music.
He began his electronic music career in 2017, focusing primarily on DJing and the development of his own selections. His sets are shaped around darker, groove-led and immersive Progressive House, reflecting influences from Sri Lanka’s underground electronic scene.
That local scene played an important role in his early development and gave him a foundation for refining his approach behind the decks. Rather than working across a broad range of styles, he concentrated on building a consistent identity within Progressive House.
During this period, DJing remained his main focus while he also expressed an interest in moving into music production. His appearance on After Hours 422 places that early career background within a programme closely connected with the international Progressive House community.
Hypnotised opens After Hours 422 with Amol Reon and Nosh SJ's Fairy Tales, setting the first hour firmly within Progressive House through deep melodic movement and controlled rhythmic development. Fabri Lopez's remix of Dimuth K and Shannon Davin follows before DJ San with Sebastian Moore and Tenerfuse maintain the steady progression through Virga and Perseidian Dawn.
Cid Inc.'s Turning Pages in Alex O'Rion's Marathon Edit brings a broader, more expansive quality to the middle of the hour before Bynomic's remix of Ramin Helvet keeps the atmosphere deep and measured. Nipocra, NAHS and Nikko Mavridis then carry Hypnotised's section to its conclusion, with Weird Sounding Dude's remix of Senseless providing a suitably restrained final passage.
Chathuska changes the character immediately with El Acordeón's Triste, introducing Afro House before The Beloved's Sweet Harmony appears in the Kosmas Epsilon and Zorz remix, bringing a Synth Pop source into the electronic mix. Koelle's remix of HOKI's Eve then establishes the stronger Melodic House and Techno direction that becomes central to the second hour.
Emi Galván's remix of Beije and AIO with AZMO briefly return the set to progressive territory before Massano's The Feeling restores the melodic drive. Einmusik's remix of Booka Shade and Eli & Fur's To The Sea continues that movement with a more expansive arrangement, while FRESEN and JANNIS BRINKMANN provide another Progressive House interlude through Dark Energy.
Jordan Gill's Break and Karmon's remix of Jaap Ligthart's Grass Walking close the programme with two further melodic selections, giving Chathuska's hour a strong Melodic House and Techno finish. Across After Hours 422, Hypnotised provides a focused Progressive House first hour before Chathuska broadens the second with melodic material, Afro House and an unusual Synth Pop reference.
