DJ Marco Mei presents his 2020 show 09 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Marco Mei is an Italian Disc Jockey and producer with almost three decades of experience. His musical background includes afrocentric music and the emergence of electronic music, which shaped his DJ career in the early 1990s.
Marco performed extensively across Italy during his early years and was associated with Turin's Urban People collective. As his career developed, he appeared at festivals and clubs internationally alongside Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.
By the turn of the millennium, Marco held a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh and began touring internationally. His appearances included Arcan in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk.
In 2009, Marco joined Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to establish Bicycle Corporation. Their studio work has produced more than 50 tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno.
Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Marco works across a wider South East Asian network through clubs, events and regional electronic music activity. He is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency and broadcasts a weekly show through the radio station.
Marco's weekly selections span Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. This March 2020 edition brings those interests into a club-focused sequence ranging from vocal material to tougher late-set rhythms.

The Vision featuring Andreya Triana follows with The Mountain, before The Shapeshifters featuring Kimberly Davis bring Second Chance and Neneh Cherry's Honey Dijon remix of Buddy X adds a Dance turn on UMC.
Roman Flügel's Garden Party on Running Back introduces Indie Dance into the sequence. Mr. Tophat's DJ Tennis Disko Bang Club Mix of Time Lapse, featuring Noomi, on Life And Death and Biesmans' Marvin & Guy mix of Electric Love, featuring Irdorski, keep the middle section angled towards eccentric club tracks.
Flash Drive's Dance System precedes Mak & Pasteman's Automatik on Dance Trax, bringing in a focused Peak Time Techno moment. Rebuke & Off The Meds then place Along Come Belter after that firmer passage, keeping the set pointed towards a more direct dancefloor pace.
Darius Syrossian's Soul Fire on MOXY MUZIK brings House Music back into focus. Diplo & SIDEPIECE follow with On My Mind on Higher Ground for a Bass House lift, while Ejeca's Ekstac on Skint Records keeps the Dance thread active.
Jansons & Liz Cass bring Less Ordinary through Classic, before Jamie Jones & Alan Fitzpatrick's Fairytale Frequency on Hot Creations moves into Tech House. Cherry's Viva on Disco Halal then introduces Melodic House and Techno, with Fideles' Brain Machine on Correspondant returning to Indie Dance.
Black Coffee & Nathan Adams take the late section into Afro House with Afraid of the Dark on Universal Music. Da Capo's Like That, featuring Jackie Queens, HOSH & 1979 featuring Jalja's Midnight on fryhide, and Boris Dlugosh featuring Inaya Day's Keep Pushin' on Peppermint Jam Records close the programme through melodic club pressure and House-rooted vocals.
