DJ Gerard, also known as Tim Jones from DeviceRATT, presents The Hit List episode 14 on Scientific Sound Asia with guest DJ Psycho-UK. DJ Gerard Jones is from Angeles City in the United States and works as a producer and DJ. His work is rooted in a lasting passion for electronic music.
Gerard has developed an individual production style and an approach to sound design intended for audiences worldwide. He identifies House music as central to his work and seeks to contribute to the genre's development.

Having previously lived in China, Gerard is an artist associated with Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency. At the time of publication, he was due to perform frequently in Florida in the United States.
He was also involved with Brasbeat, Latin America's primary digital platform for electronic music, where he hosted a podcast and mix show featuring his music. These roles brought his work to listeners in more than one electronic-music setting.

DJ Psycho, who appears in the second hour, is a hip hop turntablist from East London and an original mad nutta. He received his first set of decks at 14 years old and has since delivered beats as a DJ.
Coming of age during the Golden Age of Hip Hop, his performances draw inspiration from Public Enemy, KRS1, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys. He mixes those influences with Jungle, DnB, reggae and other dance music styles.
He began DJing at underground squat parties in 1990s London during the Acid House and Hard-Core era. He later joined the Production House Records collective alongside artists including DMS, The House Crew and X-Static.
London's raw music scenes of the 1990s and early 2000s informed his style, with dark and gritty tones, heavy basslines, energetic beats and funky rhythms. This approach led to regular slots on London pirate stations including AXE FM and Fantasy FM.
DJ Psycho also performed at London venues including Scala, Bagley’s Film Studios, 491 Gallery, 291 Gallery and 333. His work has moved between radio, clubs and underground events.

Representing the belief that 'music is my sanctuary, music is my life', DJ Psycho has travelled around the globe with grooves, loops, riffs and beats. He has performed in locations from the UK and the West Indies to Australia and Vietnam.
His sets bring an unrefined energy to the dancefloor while serving listeners seeking a more sophisticated musical experience. The focus is on getting the party started with a broad selection of rhythmic material.
At the time of publication, DJ Psycho was keeping a low profile in Saigon. He founded a DJ agency, promotions and event-management company, Scientific Sound Asia, in 2013.
The agency brings international DJs and acts to the South East Asian region and runs an English language underground radio station. The station plays up-funked dance music and hosts slots for international groove maestros.
When DJ Psycho is not on the decks, he performs under the name Tariq Azam. His guest appearance forms the second hour of this edition of The Hit List.

Noir’s Around (Solomun Vox) on !K7 Records introduces an Electro edge. Mark Ferrer’s City Streets on Infamous Recordings and Yildun Theory’s Particules on Huldra Recordings then bring the tighter pulse of Deep Tech House.
M.P.C.’s Above Us on Intimate Project Music restores the Deep House line before Makebo’s Dense Forest on Shanti Radio Moscow returns to Organic House. Mark Alow’s White Tusk rework on Sol Selectas and Roman Flügel’s 9 Years in DJ Koze’s remix on Pampa Records sustain the late-night pace.
Akio Imai and Yume Kaneko’s Romany on La Bouee Rouge leads into DJ Csemak’s Monopoly on Underway Productions. The latter supplies a Funky House lift before Soul Shadow’s Risk Assessment remix of Times Have Changed on No Fuss Records turns back towards Deep House.
Adeline’s You’re Sick on Crosstown Rebels and Gorge’s Beyond Flatlines on Still Hot keep the deeper direction in place. George Morel’s Let’s Groove on Defected raises the pressure with Tech House energy.
T. Jacques’ Optical on House Puff brings the set back into Deep House territory after the later peak. Urulu closes with Flight Pattern on Voyage Recordings, ending the programme with a measured, club-focused finish.
