DJ Marco Mei presents his 2019 episode 23 on Scientific Sound Asia, with the playlist published on his Facebook page. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Marco is an Italian DJ and producer with more than three decades of experience, having begun DJing in Turin in the early 1990s. His early listening included the emergence of Afrobeat and electronic music, influences that informed the start of his work behind the decks.
Over the following years, he appeared at festivals and nightclubs internationally. He has shared the decks with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Justin Berkmann and Funk D’Void.
During the 2000s, Marco held a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. His subsequent international dates included Arcan in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The duo has released more than fifty tracks and remixes across deep house, tech house, French house and techno.
Their productions have received plays from DJs including Sneak, Mauro Picotto, Dubfire, Axwell, Danny Tenaglia and Above & Beyond. Marco relocated to Taiwan in 2010, where his track Ciao Taipei was described as a local revelation in 2013.
Based in Taipei, Marco works within a wider South East Asian network while broadcasting a weekly show through Scientific Sound Asia. He is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency.

Kill Frenzy’s Gerd Janson remix of Winners leads into T-Connection’s Moplen Extended Remix of Do What You Wanna Do, released through High Fashion Music. Alicia Myers follows with the Kon Edit of I Want To Thank You on Kontemporary, bringing Disco into the sequence before The Vision featuring Andreya Triana delivers Heaven on Defected Records.
Andy Bach’s Systematic and Chemise’s BC Edit of She Can’t Love You bridge the central section before Seamus Haji’s Dr Packer Extended Remix of Boogie 2Nite arrives on Glitterbox Recordings. Kristine W’s These Machines Remix of Feel What You Want, issued on Champion, keeps the later section centred on club-focused House Music.
Josh Wink’s Adana Twins Remix of Higher State Of Consciousness on Strictly Rhythm extends that House Music direction. Viers then brings Let My Mind Breathe from Figure back towards raw, deep and hypnotic Techno.
Immo’s New Beginning and 2clic featuring Torsak’s Da Fresh Remix of Off Textures set up the final pair. Mar Io’s We Are Living For on Form & Terra Records supplies Peak Time Techno, while Scan 7 closes with Here To There on Transmat and a measured Deep House finish.
