Deysa's sixth Techno show for Scientific Sound Asia is episode 6 of the Romanian DJ's programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency, and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Deysa is a Romanian DJ and producer who entered the scene in 2009 through her “Friday Fever” show on Radio DEEA, an underground Romanian station. The programme marked the beginning of her public profile as a DJ.
After her 2010 debut, she became part of Romania's new generation of DJs. Her sets are associated with the country's underground electronic music community.
She is a founding member of Underground Romanian Sound, whose events have supported the development of the Deep and Tech House scene in Romania. Deysa has played at Studio Martin and Kristal Glam Club in Bucharest, Space in Ibiza, Zebra in Bacau, La Gazette in Cluj, Arenele Romane and Control Club in Bucharest, Rivolta Marghera in Italy, Tipografia 5, Piano Bar in Chisinau, and Illusion in Montenegro.
Her festival appearances in Romania include Airfield Festival, Fusion Festival, I Love Festival, Felsziget, and Electric Castle. In 2016, she held a DJ residency at Molotov, an electronic music bar in Vama Veche on Romania's Black Sea coast.
During that residency, she shared the turntables with Boris Brejcha, Sharam, Sister Bliss of Faithless, Nastia, Jose Maria Ramon, Coyu, Ellen Allien, Lady Waks, Jay Lumen, Ali Nasser, Makam, The Model, Herodot, Simina Grigoriu, Ray Okpara, Federico Molinari, and others. The Molotov residency placed her alongside artists from a range of electronic music scenes.
In 2011, Deysa was included in the Romanian Female DJ Gallery by Vibe FM Romania. From 2012 onwards, she hosted both “Friday Fever” on HFM Radio 103.4 FM and “Girls Go Underground” on 06 AM Ibiza Underground Radio.
Her 2016 residency at Molotov in Vama Veche coincided with broadcasts of her mixes on Ibiza Global Radio, Kiss FM Ukraine, Cigarra FM Chile, Beatlounge Radio Los Angeles, ABFact Japan, and other outlets. These broadcasts extended the reach of her sets beyond Romania.
Her sound combines energy with an emotional approach to selection. In 2019, she was preparing her first EP, “Feelings”, with techno tracks inspired by her emotions and inner life.
At that time, Deysa had also entered a competition for a DJ residency at Circle Ibiza. Her competition entry was available on Mixcloud.
Deysa's sixth Techno show for Scientific Sound Asia opens with Sis's Orgsa on Cecille Records, establishing a clipped Tech House foundation. Popof's My Toyz on Skryptöm records then introduces Peak Time Techno before Dusty Kid's Luna on Bpitch Control and John Tejada and Arian Levis's Forgotten Fly Girl on Palette Recordings return to the tighter house-techno interchange.
Paul Woolford presents Bobby Peru's Erotic Discourse on 20/20 Vision Recordings brings a Mainstage turn to the early sequence. Ozgur Can's David West remix of The Distance on Save Me Records gives way to Dubfire's Emissions on SCI+TEC, where Peak Time Techno becomes more prominent.
Mike Monday's Audiojack remix of Zum Zum on Great Stuff Recordings provides a direct Techno passage before Boris Brejcha's Wellenreiter on Harthouse changes the pressure. Joseph Capriati's Pac Man on Minibus and Gaiser's Chlorine on Minus draw the programme into the more stripped-back territory of Deep Tech House.
Tractile's Marc Houle remix of Ardorant, issued on Minus, keeps that Deep Tech House focus intact. Barem's Link and Marc Houle's Does Your Car Speak, also on Minus, precede Shlomi Aber's Freakside on Ovum Recordings and Claude VonStroke's Deep Throat on DIRTYBIRD.
Argy's Luciano remix of Love Dose on Poker Flat Recordings introduces Deep House late in the set. Abyss's Mind Games on Buzzin' Fly Records follows as a Remix entry before the closing run returns to the programme's central club-focused approach.
Trentemøller's remix of Moan on Poker Flat Recordings leads into Martin Landsky's Sebo K remix of Let Me Dance, also on Poker Flat. Steve Lawler's Livio & Roby remix of Violet on BEAT Music Fund and Sebo K's Far Out on Mobilee Records give the ending a measured, percussive finish.
