Dutch DJ and producer RK9 presents his guest show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
RK9 is an alias of multidisciplinary artist Joeri Jungschlager. Under this name, he writes, records and composes heavy Drum and Bass and Breakcore with DIY hardcore ethics.
This work has brought him to line-ups at events including PRSPCT, Parabellum and CCC, as well as headline appearances at international shows. His releases have appeared on labels including Moveton and NBE Records, alongside compilations such as Nothing But Drum & Bass Weapons.
His productions employ methods ranging from recording live guitar to audio techniques drawn from post-production for film. His DJ & live sets are conceived as experiences rather than simply recordings to hear.
When performing live with musicians, he also works with DJs and producers to obtain exclusive tracks for his DJ sets. In late 2019, he founded NBE Records, meaning Not Broken Enough, with another Breakcore producer and has released Hardcore Punk and Rap Metal through the label.
The guest show features a substantial selection of his tracks alongside remixes from the Dutch Drum and Bass scene. RK9 is available for bookings in the Asian region through Scientific Sound Asia's DJ Agency.
RK9's guest show opens with Anthoroid's Megalith before Noisia's Friendly Intentions on VISION establishes the Drum and Bass direction. VooDoom's Sacrifice on PRSPCT RVLT and FFF's Sweet Revenge (Newk's Ear For An Ear Remix) on PRSPCT bring in Hard Dance, while Receptor's Friendship, Spor's Kingdom and TC's Get Down Low keep the opening rooted in Drum and Bass.
FFF and Deformer's 20th Century Jungle follows on PRSPCT Recordings, before Enei's No Fear featuring Riya, Borgore's Salad Dressing (RK9 Remix) and Warriors' We Are Warriors featuring Kemist broaden the early run. RK9 then brings his own Electro track Secrets from NBE Records into Hertenfels' remix of Forbidden Rituals, followed by Sinister Souls' Horns Up featuring MC Dart and MC Swift on PRSPCT.
RK9's The Darkness of The Jungle on NBE Records leads into High Rankin's Drum and Bass cut 5am Gurn Crew on PRSPCT and Counterstrike's Hard Dance track Ready For The Pain on the same label. His Forty Eight, released through NBE Records and Mobcore Chicago, precedes Hallucinator's Raise Your Middle Finger featuring Isacco Pattini and Cooh's Equivalent, both released by PRSPCT.
The middle section brings Sinister Souls and eRRe's Tuh Tuh Duh (Dieselboy & Mark The Beast RMX) into The Panacea's Trapmusic Resurrected (Counterstrike Remix) on PRSPCT, a confirmed Dance Music entry. Panacea's Found A Lover on Position Chrome returns to Drum and Bass before RK9's Electro track Marupe on NBE Records and Zirash, Gancher and Ruin's Damned Souls on PRSPCT.
Hallucinator's Hard Dance track Satanism on PRSPCT is followed by Deformer's Slasher'16 (Deformer's Self-Surgery) and Innominate's The Price You Pay on PRSPCT XTRM. RK9 then contributes Rotterdam Hardcore Jungle featuring MC Assassin and Joeri Damian, Cumshot on 2C-Broadcast and The Undead Panther [Extended] on Breakcore.nl, before FFF's Machine, Bloodclat Mentality and The Feeling close this stretch across PRSPCT RVLT and Murder Channel.
The final sequence moves through Detest's Too Far on Future Sickness, Drokz's F Da Police and Akira's XTRM Is What We Are, both on PRSPCT XTRM. The DJ Producer, Hellfish and Dolphin's Tribe Of XTRM on PRSPCT, RK9's Jouissance on 2C-Broadcast, and Deformer's Counter Carnage (Akira Remix), Extreme Deformity (N-Vitral Remix) and Counterculture provide a hard-edged conclusion on PRSPCT.
