DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with episode 33 of his 2026 radio series on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco has developed an adaptable style spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and understanding of different club audiences have made versatility an important part of his work across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Marco began DJing in Turin during the early 1990s as Italy’s underground club scene was expanding rapidly. Through his involvement with the Urban People collective, he became closely connected with local events, club culture and the city’s developing electronic music community.
That period gave him experience in both DJing and event organisation before his reputation extended beyond Turin and across Italy. International opportunities followed as his profile continued to grow.
A residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh became an important stage in Marco’s career and introduced him to a broader international audience. The position opened the way for further bookings and helped establish the international path that has remained central to his work.
Over the years, Marco has performed at clubs and venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances have given him direct experience of different club cultures while allowing his sets to respond to the character and energy of each dancefloor.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together, they have developed a catalogue of more than fifty original productions and remixes across a broad range of club-focused and melodic electronic music.
Their releases have appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The partnership combines Marco’s understanding of dancefloor structure and programming with Stefano’s background in musical training, instrumentation and studio production.
That balance allows Bicycle Corporation to shift between rhythm-led material and more melodic productions without restricting the project to one fixed formula. Their catalogue reflects the wide musical interests both artists have developed throughout their careers.
Marco continues to share new music, radio episodes and production activity through his Facebook page. His selections connect earlier influences with contemporary club material while retaining the identity developed through decades of DJing.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains closely connected with electronic music activity across Asia through clubs, radio and regional collaborations. His position in the region combines an extensive European background with direct experience of club cultures and artist communities across the continent.
Episode 33 continues the series with another selection shaped by Marco’s long experience as a DJ, producer and international performer. The programme remains an outlet for his broad musical interests, careful pacing and continuing connection with underground club culture.
Marco Mei opens Episode 33 with Adam Ten and Yamagucci's Keep Workin', bringing an Indie Dance and Indie Tech edge before Alessio Collina settles the mix into Deep House with The Party. Barbara Tucker, BDK and Butch with Santos then establish the dominant House Music direction through vocal hooks, rolling basslines and direct club rhythms.
C. Vogt and Sofian briefly return the selection to deeper territory with Do You Feel It Too, before Claudio Coccoluto, Fango, Flying Grooves and G.O.D. drive the programme through a sustained house sequence. GRAVITATE's Track 2 breaks that run with the shuffled rhythm of UK Garage, giving the middle of the set a distinct rhythmic change before Groundhog and KOKO.IT restore the house pulse.
Elisa Elisa introduces the tighter groove of Tech House with Bounce With Me, followed by TINO and Trimtone as Marco returns to straighter house material. Lorraine Johnson's Feed The Flame in François Kevorkian's 12-inch mix then opens the selection into Disco, creating a natural bridge into Electra and Tara Butler's Italo Disco cut Feels Good.
Davina's Don't You Want It changes the pressure sharply with the episode's sole Peak Time Techno selection, connecting the programme with Underground Resistance and Detroit-rooted club music. Valerie Dore follows with Sgt Slick's edit of Get Closer, bringing an Indie Dance interpretation to an Italo-rooted record before the closing stretch returns to House.
Munky Fike's Tropea Sunset restores a warmer house groove before Photon Inc.'s Generate Power closes Episode 33 through the classic Strictly Rhythm catalogue. Across the programme, House remains the clear centre of gravity while Deep House, UK Garage, Tech House, Disco, Italo Disco, Indie Dance and Techno provide short but deliberate changes in colour and rhythm.
